Taipei Municipal Art Museum is located in the third section of Zhongshan North Road, in front of Zhongshan Bridge in Yuanshan. The museum is divided into three floors above the ground and three floors below the ground. The interior and exterior design is unique and the shape is magnificent. It is a gray white building with a great modern sense, covering an area of about 6000 square meters. There are 26 indoor exhibition rooms and 12 sculpture atriums in total. It is the first art museum in Taiwan to display modern art.

Taipei Fine Arts Museum was officially opened on December 24, 1983. Located in the third section of Zhongshan North Road and in front of Yuanshan Zhongshan Bridge, the museum has three floors above the ground and three floors below the ground. It covers an area of more than 6000 square meters, with a total of 26 indoor exhibition rooms and 12 sculpture atriums. It is the first art museum in Taiwan to display modern art.

As for the collection of works, the Taipei Municipal Art Museum mainly focuses on the representative and Creative Fine Arts of the important art furniture inside and outside the island since the 20th century, supplemented by the art works dating back to the 19th century. It hopes to inherit the Chinese cultural relics collection system of the National Palace Museum and present the collection context based on the history of Taiwan's art and modern characteristics. The collection task focuses on the collection, collection management, research and promotion of the above specific scope of works, in order to accumulate important art assets for the public, and give appropriate preservation, maintenance, management and application. At the same time, the collection research is carried out. Through the collection exhibition, publishing and related education and promotion activities, the art and culture can go deep into the people's life, and achieve the purpose of art sharing for the whole people. So far, we have collected about 5000 works.
There are also other facilities on the ground floor, such as catering department, audio-visual room, seminar, film projection room, art library, etc., for the public to use. Located in Zhongshan Park No.2, Zhongshan District, Taipei City, the museum is the first modern art museum in Taiwan. The area of the museum is about 6200 square meters. The appearance of the museum is rational contemporary architecture, mainly in stacked white square. Designed by architect Gao Erpan according to the traditional Chinese concept of quadrangle. It is divided into six floors, three floors above ground and three floors below ground. The main exhibition space is concentrated on the third floor above ground and the first floor below ground. In 1986, Mr. Huang Guangnan was the first curator. The current curator is Ms. Lin Ping.
