Advance art museum is an independent public welfare art institution serving the public. It was founded by Mr. Wu Kuo, chairman of Qianjin group, and officially opened in July 2014.

Qianjin Art Museum aims to explore and cultivate potential young artists, systematically sort out the regional artistic and cultural ecology, hold academic exhibitions, public projects and other rich activities, promote the development of Chinese contemporary art and promote international exchanges.

Qianjin art museum is located in taipingli, No. 167, Taiping old street, the core urban area of Changsha, Hunan Province. It was founded by Mr. Wu Kuo, chairman of Qianjin group and CEO of 58 Zhongchuang town. It was officially opened in July 2014. Its main functions are exhibition, collection, education, exchange and service. It is an independent public welfare art institution serving the public. It is directly operated by Qianjin Culture Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Qianjin group.

Qianjin art museum is committed to exploring and cultivating young artists with independent artistic thinking and breakthrough practice, inspiring and enlightening the public's understanding of art. Systematically combing the regional contemporary art ecosystem, activating the local art ecosystem and strengthening the international cultural interaction and academic exchanges.

Up to now, Qianjin Art Museum has held more than 200 exhibitions and cultural activities, with an annual attendance of nearly one million. With an open and inclusive attitude, the Qianjin Art Museum turns the art museum into an interactive platform for multi-cultural coexistence around culture and benefiting the people. It is an indispensable public space in the city and is known as the "urban cultural landmark" of Changsha.

In 2018, Qianjin Art Museum and 58 town jointly founded the first annual international residence project in Hunan, a + International Artist residence, which was listed as the key support project of Changsha's literary and artistic creation.

Since the global recruitment, the project has received applications from more than ten countries and nearly 100 artists. Artists from Canada, Australia, the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, France and other countries have stayed in Changsha for one month. During the stay, they have carried out in-depth research through city visits, workshop, entering universities, academic forums, resident works exhibition and other activities Urban cultural exchange and visits.

Public education projects

Since its opening in July 2014, Qianjin Art Museum has carried out a variety of public education projects.

The art open class covers exhibition lectures, theatre, film, history and other types of lectures and forum activities extended from the exhibition. With art as the source, it generates more diversified fields and levels of content, turning the art museum into an open classroom, and providing opportunities and platforms for the public to recognize and understand artists and art works;

The experimental workshop activities realized the fun of cross-border interactive creation and gained immersive experience;

Colorful parent-child workshop activities enable children of all ages to work with their parents to develop their imagination and realize their artistic creation;

The "flash plan" launched by Qianjin art museum is a short-term art promotion activity, which allows the public to read more diversified art forms for free.

In 2019, Qianjin art museum is about to launch the project of "campus tour of art open class". It will graft the professional artist resources owned by art museum with the professional advantages of art colleges. Combined with the major art events of the times, it will launch an art open class integrating academic lectures, speculative Forums and interactive workshops, so as to attract students and the public to pay attention to art and culture, broaden their horizons and encourage thinking At the same time, it is also a bridge between universities and the public.

A + International Artist residence project

The a + International Artist residence project, jointly initiated by Qianjin Art Museum and 58 Town, aims to establish mutual visits and academic exchanges between artists from different countries and regions through the linkage of art and new economy, so as to further activate the regional contemporary art ecology. Artists or art groups with independent artistic thinking and breakthrough practice are encouraged to go deep into the city to carry out multiple collisions of cultural blending, and explore and share artistic practice in line with the spirit of the times.

During the stay, participants will have the opportunity to participate in city visit, studio open exhibition, academic discussion, salon lecture or related educational exchange activities, as well as the final exhibition part. To bring the participants diverse and deep creative space and possibilities.
