Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge
Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge is a river crossing channel connecting Hanyang District and Wuchang District in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. It is one of the components of Wuhan Second Ring Road.

Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge starts from Jiangcheng Avenue in the west, crosses the Yangtze River Waterway in the East and ends at meijiashan interchange in the East. The total length of the line is 3.42km, and the total length of the main bridge is 2.1km. The bridge deck is a two-way eight Lane urban expressway with a design speed of 60km / h;

Construction process
On August 26, 2010, the construction of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge started.
On April 8, 2011, representatives of Wuhan Urban Investment Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Bridge Bureau, Wuchang Shipyard and Hanyang municipal engineering company signed a BT contract for the main bridge construction project of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge.
In April 2012, the main structure of yingwuzhou bridge was constructed;
On May 14 of the same year, the last concrete pouring and superstructure construction of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge were completed;
In October, the construction of the main bridge foundation of yingwuzhou bridge was completed;
On November 14, the last steel tower of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge was accurately hoisted in place to complete the capping of the last tower.
On June 22, 2013, the main cable erection of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge was completed;
In July of the same year, the main cable strand of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge was erected;
On September 6, the first section of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge was hoisted and entered the key stage of bridge deck construction;
On December 16, the closure of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge was completed.
In March 2014, yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge carried out the installation of railings;
On July 22 of the same year, the pavement of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge was completed, and the black painting project of the bridge was completed;
On December 28, yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge was opened to traffic.
On January 1, 2018, the etc fee of yingwuzhou bridge was cancelled and relevant facilities were removed.
Bridge location
Yingwuzhou bridge is located in the central area of Wuhan, an important town in central and South China, connecting Maying road in Hanyang District and Fuxing Road in Wuchang District. The bridge is about 2km away from Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge in the downstream, 3.2km away from yangsigang Yangtze River Bridge in the upstream and 6.3km away from Baishazhou bridge in the upstream. The bridge starts from mohuhei road of Jiangcheng Avenue in Hanyang District, faces zoo in the East, crosses lanjiangdi road and Yingwu Avenue along Maying Road, crosses Yangtze River waterway to Wuchang District, connects meijiashan interchange at Jinshui Road, and finally connects with Xiongchu street.

Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge is composed of three pylons, North and South pylons and their interchange ramps. The main bridge section is arranged from northwest to Southeast.
Design concept
Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge is located less than 3km upstream of Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and within the sight of Yellow Crane Tower. For the design of the bridge type, the designer gave up the choice of cable-stayed bridge to avoid the impact of nearly 200m high bridge tower on the urban landscape. The scheme of three towers and four spans steel-concrete composite stiffening girder suspension bridge is adopted. The tower height is moderate, which is compatible with the landscape of Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge Tune. The undulating shape of the main cable is full of rhythmic beauty, the steady momentum of the bridge tower echoes with the vast Yangtze River, and the three towers stand up, implying that the three towns in Wuhan are fully coordinated, sustainable and prosperous.
In the painting color of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge, in order to pursue better landscape effect, the designer painted the fashionable international "orange" red on the bridge tower and other parts, coordinated with the steel plate beam, which not only played a protective role, but also reflected the landscape effect after lighting.
Design features
Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge is a suspension bridge with three pylons and four spans steel-concrete composite stiffening beams. The side pylons are of I-shaped pylons, and the transverse pylons are arranged with double columns. The middle tower adopts the steel-concrete mixed structure, in which the lower tower column adopts the reinforced concrete structure, the upper tower column adopts the longitudinal herringbone steel tower column, and the concrete tower base is set between the lower tower column and the steel tower column; the side tower adopts the concrete structure, the upper and lower beams are the prestressed concrete single box single room structure, and the two sides of the lower beam are arranged with a 2m wide maintenance walkway outside the tower column, and the lower beam adopts the concrete structure The bearing pad stone is arranged on the top surface.

The total length of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge is 3.42km, the total length of main bridge is 2.1km, the main span is (2x850m), the main cable span of side span is 225m, the main beam span is 200m, the height difference between the top of side tower and middle tower is 18m, the rise span ratio of main cable of main span is 1g8, the height of middle tower is 152m, the transverse center distance between two tower columns is 40.0m, and the maximum size of the top of tower column is 14.8m (transverse) X31M (longitudinal), The horizontal two tower columns are connected by beams with a height of 7 meters; the height of the north and south tower is 126.2 meters, and the center distance between the two horizontal tower columns of the side tower changes from 36.0 meters at the top of the tower to 39.0 meters at the bottom of the tower; the horizontal dimension of the tower column is 5.0 meters, and the longitudinal dimension changes from 7.0 meters at the top to 9.0 meters at the bottom of the tower. The theoretical point elevation of the main cable center line is + 39.0m, and the center spacing of the two transverse main cables is 36.0m; the two main cables are composed of 114 strands, and each strand is composed of 127 wires of galvanized high-strength steel wire with a diameter of 5.25 mm.

Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge highlights the three main towers, suspension cables and external contour of the bridge side. Through white projection light projection and led, it maximizes the visual beauty of the orange main tower of the bridge, as well as the urban characteristics and charm of "river city".
Sound screen facilities
The Hanyang bank approach bridge of yingwuzhou Yangtze River bridge crosses the world trade Fairview Yangtze River residential section. The high-rise buildings on both sides of the approach bridge need noise protection. Therefore, a fully enclosed noise barrier is set on both sides of the bridge deck to block the transmission of noise sources.

In May 2015, Wuhan traffic management department launched the electronic eye capture facility on yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge in response to traffic violations such as medium and heavy trucks breaking through the forbidden line and overloading.

Technical problems
The middle tower of yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge is designed as a steel-concrete composite tower, which is the first longitudinal herringbone steel-concrete composite tower in China
1. The lower tower column is reinforced concrete, so it is necessary to solve the problem of cracks between the root of the tower column and the bearing platform.
2. The height direction of the steel tower is divided into 15 sections, only five adjusting joints are set between the sections, and the rest of the sections are end contact; the lifting design of the steel tower section is T3 section (herringbone bottom) and upper measure (lifting in two sections), so the line running of the steel tower is difficult.
3. The steel-concrete joint section is the key part of the steel tower to transfer the force to the lower tower column and the foundation; due to the inclination of the joint surface (14 degrees) and the large area of the joint surface (6.3m x 6.3m), it is a big difficulty to ensure that the joint section is dense and close.
4. Due to the limitation of navigation height, the 1000 ton annual floating crane can not pass the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge near the bridge site (the designed navigation net height is 18 meters), so other alternatives need to be studied.
5. The upper crossbeam of steel tower is hoisted in two sections, and the "cantilever" assembly scheme without support is adopted. It is necessary to focus on the hoisting sequence and closure gap.
