Wang Boling's former residence is located in No. 42 Huaihai Road, which was originally No. 48 Xinma road. It covers an area of more than 2300 square meters, with 62 rooms and 8 compartments. It faces south from north and is divided into East, middle and West roads.

Main introduction

The East Road has two entrances in front and back, with the same pattern. It is a Chinese brick and wood structure bungalow with three bright rooms and four dark rooms and two compartments. It is a single eaves hard Mountain Residence with seven beams. It is connected with a suite in the West. There is a small patio in front of the suite. The East Road house was demolished after construction.

In the Middle Road, there are four entrances in front and back. The layout is regular. The Chinese style wooden structure house has three rooms on the front and two rooms on the left and right. The first entrance is three houses with five beams, the second entrance and the third entrance are both seven beams and three hatchback houses, and the fourth entrance is seven beams and three hatchback buildings.

The West Road house is a combination of Chinese and western. It has two floors in Ming Dynasty, but it is actually three floors. It is called "resting garden". It was built in the Republic of China. The western building faces south in the north of the garden, and its plane layout is irregular "mountain" shape. There are five rooms in the south of the main room, and two walls in the East and West have their own ear doors. In the back corridor of the hall, there are north facing wooden stairs on the second and third floors. The second floor is a residence with a spacious balcony in front. There are three south facing triangular tiger windows on the third floor. The walls of western style buildings are pointed with blue bricks, some of which are printed with patterns of double coin and flowers and plants. The roof is covered with red tiles, falling into the water on all sides, undulating and scattered.

In the west of the building, there is a rockery along the wall, which leads southward to the three corner Pavilion in the southwest corner. The pavilion connects eight North facing corridors. There are also eight corridors in the east of the building, a corridor facing north in the south, a moon gate in the north, a courtyard in the entrance and three houses in the north. The southwest of the hospital is connected with the repair Gallery, and the West Gallery has a door to the western style building. The front and back corridors are connected to form a zigzag corridor.

Introduction of current situation

Xianyangfang garden is well preserved, and the original rockery fish pond in the west wall has been partially changed into a recreational Garden Hotel. The layout of the houses in the middle road is basically complete, and now they are folk houses. It is a municipal cultural relic protection unit.

Wang bailing (1889-1942) was a member of the Chinese Alliance. He served successively as director of the Professor Department of Huangpu Military Academy, acting director of education, commander of the Yangtze River fortress, etc.
