Located in the southeast of Fenghuang ancient city in Western Hunan Province, the hanging foot buildings of Huilong Pavilion, facing the ancient official road in front and hanging on the Tuojiang River in the back, are one of the ancient buildings with strong Miao architectural characteristics in Fenghuang ancient city. With a total length of 240 meters, it is a building of the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and now there are more than ten families living in it. The Diaojiaolou of the Diaojiaolou group is divided into upper and lower floors, which belong to the five column and six hanging or five column and eight hanging wooden structure. The upper floor is wide, and the lower floor covers an irregular area. The upper floor is made of complex workmanship, exquisite workmanship, with carved railings and doors and windows on the roof. The lower floor is not a formal room, but the hanging part is carved with patterns of golden melon or various animal heads and flowers. The corridor or room is hung above the river by wearing Fang to form a unique landscape. It is a unique architectural craft of Miao nationality, which has high aesthetic value and cultural relic research value.
History of scenic spots
The land still belongs to Wuling county. In the northern and Southern Dynasties, Chenyang county was restored, and in the Sui Dynasty, Chenxi County was changed. In the third year of Tang Dynasty (687), it was changed to Weiyang County, and later to Zhaoyu County, which belonged to Luyang County of Jinzhou. In the Five Dynasties, it was still Weiyang county and Zhaoyu county. In the early Song Dynasty, it was transferred to Mayang county. In 982, it was changed to Zhaoyu county. In 1705, it was abolished and restored to Mayang County, belonging to Tanyang County of Yuanzhou. Song Jiaqin three years (1203) gaowuzhai division, belongs to Sizhou military and civilian pacifier. The Yuan Dynasty followed this system. In the seventh year of Hongwu (1374) of the Ming Dynasty, Wuzhai chief was set up, Yongle Biyan (1405) was set up, and ganziping chief was set up instead of gangle Pingyuan mansion, which was in charge of Miaozhai. All of them belonged to the military and civilian consolation Department of Baojing. In the 39th year of Emperor Kangxi (1700) of the Qing Dynasty, there was an independent Hall (scattered Hall), and in the 43rd year (1704), there was a general judge (Liuguan), but the chieftain was not abolished, and Kaicheng and Tuliu coexisted. In 1707, Zhao Shenqiao, the governor of pianyuan in the 46th year of Kangxi, took Tian Hongtian, the chieftain, as an illegitimate person, and decided not to replace him. So far, the chieftain system was completely abolished. In the second year of Jiaqing (1797), Shengsan hall was changed into Zhili hall and Tongzhi hall. In 1913, Fenghuang hall was changed into Fenghuang County. At the beginning, it was a second-class county with a governor's office and a member. In the eighth year of the Republic of China, it was changed into a third class County, and the governor's office was changed into a county office with a county head. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it was upgraded to a second-class County, belonging to the ninth administrative supervision district of Hunan Province.
