brief introduction

Yanquan (also known as Yanchi) is located in the north end of Yanchi mountain, Yaojia sub district office in the east of Lixia District, Jinan City. It was listed as 72 Famous Springs in Jinan in April 2004, with a surface area of more than 6000 square meters and a depth of more than 20 meters. The water is clear, surrounded by huge stones and dangerous eggs. The pool wall is steep, and the Red Pavilion of Yanchi mountain is reflected in the water.

The inkstone pool is named after the inkstone. In 1958, when the whole people were smelting iron and steel, the iron ore was mined here, and then the spring vein was touched. The spring gushed like a flood, forming a huge water surface. For decades, the spring water of Yanchi has not dried up all the year round. On the East and North Bank of the pool, there is a stone tablet of Yanchi spring, which is inscribed by Shen Peng, a famous contemporary calligrapher. The inscription is as follows:

He said that he was the only one. All the members of the winter swimming teams of Yanshan and Lishan had a special preference. They advocated to build a monument and enthusiastically lost. The city leaders gave their full support. Shen Peng, President of the national Calligrapher's Association, personally inscribed the name of the tablet. It was sponsored by Shandong Securities Co., Ltd. Then it was completed. At the beginning of erecting a monument to protect the spring, it began to renovate and afforest. The origin of inkstone spring

This monument is not the work of literati. It is actually the action of the spring city people to love and protect the spring. Although there are no famous springs such as Baotu and Heihu, the hehuyan spring is surrounded by mountains and waters. It is widely spread for half a hectare. It does not dry up all the year round. Its natural beauty is enough to decorate the rivers and mountains and entertain the people of the spring city. However, in recent years, there are rumors of destroying the spring and filling it. Yanquan stele says that the spring city loves the spring, and has never been followed. Words are still in my ears, how can I forget them. The beauty of the spring city lies in the famous spring. The protection of love is not as good as that of destruction. Since the day of the stele, we are willing to destroy the spring and fill it. Thanks to the generous contributions of Zhao Qiang, Liu Qingyong, Yin Zhicheng, and Li Yuzhu, and the enthusiasm of the people with lofty ideals to lose, the winter swimming team's athletes made a trickle of money, and nearly 300 donors gathered to form a pagoda. The stone breaks the spring

In 1958, the whole people made a lot of iron and steel. At the foot of Yanchi mountain, there was a lot of people fighting for the mine with pickaxes. During the excavation, someone touched the underground dragon vein by mistake. Suddenly, the spring burst out of the rock, and the water was surging into the well. It was sunset on September 24, 1960. Spring water does not dry up all the year round. Because of its anonymity, local people call it "mine".

Declaration and naming

On February 16, 1998, Wang Fulong, a retired cadre of good deeds, was asked by the audience to apply for the title of the spring. After the government officially filed a case with "lixiazhengzi No.1 document (the reply on agreeing to the naming of Yanchi"), Yanchi was gradually renamed.

Recommendation from the masses

On August 15, 1998, led by Ding Wenfang, President of Jinan University, and written by Gu Yilong, Professor of Shandong University, 215 enthusiasts of Aiquan jointly wrote to the municipal government ("the report on building Yanchi into a small natural park"). On September 1, Tao anling, vice mayor, approved and transferred it to sun Peisen, director of the Municipal Bureau of landscape architecture.

Raise funds to build a monument

On September 4, 1998, a preparatory group was set up to raise funds to build the monument. It took half a year to mobilize more than 300 people to raise nearly 20000 yuan. A newspaper reporter went to Beijing to ask for the word "Yanquan" written by Shen Peng, chairman of Calligrapher Association. Li Shixin, director of the Mingquan Office of the city, gave full support and hired a famous craftsman to erect the monument. The huge stele and stone column stand upright beside the pool; the monument and clear water reflect each other, and the inkstone pool landscape is lax, attracting tourists from all over the world.

In 2002, the second time raised funds to build the monument, which is embedded in the cliff of the pool wall. The monument is like a spring and the text is like water. Selected as famous spring

Since June 1998, it has been five and a half years. After on-the-spot investigation and careful evaluation by experts of the municipal Famous Springs evaluation committee, Yanchi has been ranked in the new 72 Famous Springs list. She is the only one of our city recommended by the masses of experts directly selected new spring. It's natural that inkstone pool was selected.
