Fengming Academy

Fengming academy is the highest institution in Yuci County in Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 27000 square meters. Qianlong 13 years (1748), county magistrate Qian Zhiqing set up a school of righteousness here, Qianlong 31 years (1766), known as "Fengming academy". The name of the court comes from the Xianning period (275-279) of the Western Jin Dynasty. Xun Xun was appointed as the magistrate of Yuci county. He had outstanding political achievements and had the story of "Fengji in Yuci". The academy is arranged in a garden style, with lakes and mountains, pavilions and buildings alternating, open and sparse, shaded by trees, quiet and elegant, and unique scenery. It is an ideal environment for students to study and study.

Historical records

Academy, which originated in Tang Dynasty and flourished in Song Dynasty, is an important form of educational organization in ancient Chinese educational history and academic history. From the middle of Tang Dynasty to the end of Qing Dynasty, it has experienced a thousand years of school running history, and formed a set of unique school running forms, teaching methods, management system and other education modes, which made the long-standing traditional private school mature and perfect.

Dazhu, Sichuan

Fengming Academy in Dazhu, the predecessor of Zhenwen academy, was built in Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty (1368-1398). It is located in waiwenchang Palace (now Wenchang Pavilion of Dazhu middle school) in the south of Dazhu County. It was destroyed in the end of Ming Dynasty. In 1765, the magistrate Ye Shushen rebuilt the old site. Recruit all the students in the county. Hire a mountain head to take charge of academic affairs, teach and guide further study. Xu Kaiyun, a native of the country, is a "good learner and literate" and has been in charge of teaching for more than ten years. In the 23rd year of Daoguang (1843), the county magistrate Fang Changyu was so narrow that it was inconvenient for students to study in this area. He chose another school in the south of the city, which was not far away from here, to be rebuilt and renamed Fengming Academy. Chen Wenfu was appointed as the head of the mountain. He taught classical and historical poems, and later studied Natural Science (Gezhi) and industry.

These two sites have been listed as historical and cultural relics protection units in Dazhu County in 2004.

In 1905, Fengming Academy was rebuilt as a school. In 1918, Dazhu County Secondary School was established here. In the autumn of 1942, an additional high school class was set up and renamed Dazhu County middle school. In April 1950, the school was renamed the first middle school in Dazhu County, Eastern Sichuan. In October 1952, it was renamed Dazhu middle school in eastern Sichuan. The next year, it was renamed Sichuan Dazhu middle school.

Yuci, Shanxi

Fengming Academy in Yuci is a county school of Yuci in Qing Dynasty, which is the highest institution in ancient Yuci of Shanxi Province.

Fengming Academy was named in 1766. The name of the academy comes from Xunci of the Western Jin Dynasty. He was the magistrate of Yuci, and has made great achievements. It is said that the Academy covers an area of 2700 square meters. The academy has a garden like layout with beautiful lakes and mountains. The lake in the middle is called Yanshui lake, covering an area of 4800 square meters. The main body of the ancient architecture is Liangxian temple and lecture hall, as well as six corner Pavilion, four corner Pavilion, Green Flower Pavilion, altar and so on .

Xiushan County, Chongqing

Xiushan Fengming Academy was the former site of the second field army headquarters of the people's Liberation Army. It was located outside the South Gate of Xiushan County, Chongqing. It was first built in the 23rd year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty. It was called Fengtai Academy. It was renamed Fengming Academy in Daoguang. After liberation, it was a county-level middle school.

At the end of the Anti Japanese War and during the liberation war, in order to create a guerrilla base in eastern Sichuan, the southern bureau established a special party branch and carried out the struggle of academic and military movements. In 1949, Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping led the former members of the Military Commission and the headquarters of the second field army to move here from hongchadukou. They directed all the troops into Sichuan and deployed the famous Chengdu campaign.

The courtyard covers an area of 12300 square meters, with a total construction area of 2478 square meters. It has a width of 114 meters and a depth of 1108 meters. It is a quadrangle courtyard structure with one floor and one floor. The main house is a suspended Hill roof with five columns. It has a width of 30.6 meters, a depth of 9 meters and a height of 7 meters, This section of the main house has a suspended Hill roof. There are 14 rafter houses with two columns in front and back, with a width of 8.2 meters, a depth of 8.7 meters, and a height of 5 meters. The right wing of the backyard has a suspended Hill roof with a timber structure with five columns, with a width of 30.35 meters, a depth of 6.8 meters, and a height of 6 meters. The building is now a middle school for nationalities. Except for the original lecture hall which was demolished and renovated, the rest of the building is basically well preserved. It was announced as a county-level cultural relics protection unit in 1984.

Qishan County, Shaanxi Province

Qishan Fengming academy is located in Qishan, Shaanxi Province. In 1779, the office of Jinchuan Kaixuan was changed into an academy, which means "Fengming Chaoyang". The officials and gentry donated 4000 yuan to help the merchants earn interest. 634 mu of research field, choose the upright person "Fenli". Daoguang 23 years (1843) county magistrate Zhang gupei, 26 years magistrate Li Wei rebuilt. In 1866, Huang Zhaoxiong, the county magistrate, proposed to donate 3000 liang of silver for funding. Guangxu three years (1877) fan Xian Tan FA Yin 500 Liang. Ten years later, Hu Shengyou, the magistrate of the county, renovated it. He had the interest earned by the bank 6512 as funds. Thirty two years later, Zhao Naipu, the county magistrate, was transformed into a primary school of higher learning.

Bobai, Guangxi

Guangxi Bobai Fengming Academy was founded in 1879, also known as "Wenchang Pavilion". The old school motto is "Wen Yun Tian Kai, Zhong Ling Yu Xiu; Chang Ming Sheng Jiao, Cheng De Da CAI." The school is located 1 km north of shuangfengwei, 28 km away from the county. In the 1950s, he established a high school for the township. In the 1960s, he was a branch school of junior high school in Bobai County. In 1974, he became a complete primary school, and in 1985, he became a central primary school in Shuangfeng town. The school covers an area of 3000 square meters, and its building area is 932 square meters.
