Longyuan park is a municipal park. It was founded in 1992 and opened in May 1995. It is the only garden park with the theme of dragon culture in China so far. The park spans both sides of Longgang River, covering an area of 225000 square meters, 28 kilometers away from the central area of Shenzhen. As a branch of the ornamental stone base, it is also a famous tourist attraction in Longgang.
Park features
Dragon is the symbol of Chinese people and the inheritance of Chinese people. Longyuan park has more than 38000 dragon sculptures. From the Shang Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the shapes of dragons include ancient Qiang Di, ancient Baiyue, Han, Miao, Yi and Naxi. In addition to the Dragon at the gate, the garden is full of dragons. The fish leaping in the pool is the dragon head carp, the turtle climbing on the ground is the dragon head turtle, and the Dragon taking off is carved on the wall. The most beautiful is the Huilong bridge across the Longgang river. The stone pillars are carved with dragon heads. Arhat tower
The total height of the tower is 32 meters, the eaves are divided into eight sides, the tower has seven floors, standing on the Bank of the Longgang River, the lower part adopts the pavilion type, the upper part is conical, and the top of the tower is Baozhu Tasha. One Maitreya Buddha is worshipped in the main hall on the ground floor, and 500 Arhats are worshipped in the other floors according to the ancient books collected by Beijing Library, so it is named arhat tower. Luohan tower is solemn and steady, with a sense of sacredness. You can see the endless scenery from the top of the tower. There is also a Sanskrit arhat in the garden, which means not to be born.
Huilong Bridge
Huilong bridge across the Longgang river is a wind and rain corridor bridge with Dong style. In ancient times, there was a saying that "the mountain is Longshan, the bridge is Gen Xiang, and if you live, the dragon will return", so it is called Huilong bridge. Three pavilions with eight pillars and two pavilions with four pillars are distributed on the bridge at intervals. They are covered with grey tiles and carved dragons on the eaves. Small pavilion double eaves, pavilion top with beads, Gallery Pavilion single eaves, in the middle of Gallery Pavilion ridge carved two glass dragon play beads. Stone bridge stools, red pillars and painted beams, ancient and modern character stories, pine, bamboo and plum orchids in the spring and Autumn period, are magnificent. Besides, there are 78 stone dragon heads with different shapes on the guardrail. The bridge is decorated with neon lights. The view of the morning is like a rainbow flying, the clouds are surrounded by clouds, and the view of the night is like a dragon crossing. Under the bridge, the stream is murmuring and picturesque. It's refreshing to have a rest and view on the bridge, just like being in the poetic landscape. The various stone lions of Lugou Bridge in the past witnessed the history of suffering. At present, the stone dragons with different shapes of Huilong bridge welcome the brilliant future.
the nine dragon wall
It's a kind of movie wall. That is to say, the wall outside the gate of the building is facing the gate as a barrier, commonly known as Zhaoqiang, Zhaobi. Screen wall is evolved from "hiding". The nine dragon walls of the Dragon Garden face north and south, located in the Kowloon square, are made of big blue stone and carved through. In September 1993, it was transported to Longgang from Qufu, the hometown of "sage" Confucius, with neon fountains in the pool. After lining the woodcut scroll, Confucius' The Analects of Confucius is on the scroll. The wall is composed of two parts: xumizuo at the bottom, Jiangya sea water and flowing clouds. The central part is the wall body, carved with Liuyun pattern and Jiulong. In the middle is Erlong Xizhu, holding his head forward, with bright eyes. The body of the Dragon curls up and the tail stretches to the rear. It seems that he is sitting and watching. There are a pair of dragons on the left, with their heads opposite each other, forming a basic symmetrical pattern. These are two flying dragons, with fierce and angry expression, which has the potential of falling into the sea and crossing the river. The three dragons on the upper right hold their heads high to the Pearl, flying and imposing. On the lower right is a swimming dragon, with a natural and unrestrained look and a state of great contentment. When the breeze blows, the clear water in the pool ripples layer upon layer. At this moment, when you look at the nine giant dragons reflected in the water, it's really like tumbling between the sea and the blue sky. It's even more majestic and magnificent.
Oriental Dragon - leading stage
It is a memorial building to display dragon culture. The main stage is for grand art performance and dragon sacrifice ceremony. The whole body of dragon has green vegetation. Wulong Pavilion
It is composed of five pavilions. The five pavilions are square and arranged in front and back. Wuting baiyushi bridge is connected with the bank in an S-shape. Wuting stands on the water like five dragons. From a distance, it looks like a dragon, so it is called the Dragon Pavilion. The pavilion in the middle is the largest, which is called longzeting with double eaves and yellow glazed dragon playing with pearls. The pavilion in the front is called "longfu", the pavilion in the back is called "Longlu", the pavilion on the left is called "longfu", and the pavilion on the right is called "Longshou" with single eaves, which is collectively called wulongting. Five pavilions are covered with grey tiles, blue glazed tiles are trimmed, and the beams under the eaves are painted with small golden spirals. They are gorgeous and resplendent. "Longfu", "longfu" and "Longshou" all have white jade bridges winding to the shore. The Five Dragon Pavilion is located in the beautiful blue water. Weeping willows and bamboos decorate the scenery of the four seasons. The protection of the corridor's carved beams and painted buildings adds to its grace.
Main plants
Kapok: a specialty of the south, also the city flower of Guangzhou, Kaohsiung and Panzhihua. Five petals with strong curve, surrounded by a bunch of dense yellow stamens, tied in tight receptacles, one after another are as big as rice bowls, spreading downward from the top of the tree in the spring. Kapok, also known as hero flower, even its fall is extremely heroic. When it falls from the tree, it still remains the same in the air, spins all the way down, and then "pops" to the ground. The trees are falling, the flowers are not fading, they are not withering, they are heroic to say goodbye to the world.
Development and construction
Longyuan park is designed and planned by Shanghai Tongji University, Guangzhou Sun Yat sen University and a large number of well-known experts from Hong Kong and Macao. It is constructed by ancient architecture teams from Beijing, Shanxi, Shaanxi and other provinces.
