Hongyan Valley

Hongyan Valley is a valley in Zhejiang Province. It is located in song'ao village, Lubu Town, Yuyao City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Walking along a small valley beside the village, the valley is about 1 km long. After passing a waterfall, a variety of reddish brown rocks appeared on the ground and beside the stone bridge.

Ningbo belongs to the volcanic rock area. This peculiar soft wrinkle geological phenomenon is formed in the volcanic rock area. The soft wrinkle geological feature is "stromatolite", that is, the rock looks like the bed is stacked layer by layer.

Red rocks are rarely distributed in Ningbo and have been found in Ninghai. The discovery of red stones in the valley near song'ao village has no special significance in geological research, but these red stones can be regarded as a kind of landscape. Xu Mingzhong also said that among the red stones, the most famous one is Hongbi stone produced in Longsheng County, Guilin, Guangxi, which is of great value. As for whether the red stone Mr. Fang saw has any value, we should also consider its purity, hardness, polishing degree and other factors.

Stratigraphic fold

"Dozens of square meters of hillside rocks have folds, like a folded quilt." The folded rock is found in Hongyan Valley, one kilometer down the mountain of song'ao village. The crustal movement is mainly horizontal movement, and the bending deformation and fold are formed due to the compression. The folds on the bare surface are rare in Ningbo. Zhang Wenjie, director of Zhejiang Institute of geological disaster prevention and control, said that this is a soft wrinkle geological phenomenon. Ningbo belongs to the volcanic rock area. Some of the butterflies here are very big, like a little bird. Maybe the living environment here is too good.

Hongyan valley of Wugong Mountain

Wugong mountain is located in the north section of Luoxiao mountain range and in the west of Jiangxi Province. It straddles Anfu county of Ji'an City, Luxi County of Pingxiang City and Yuanzhou District of Yichun city. It is a mountain type scenic spot with natural scenery as its main feature. It is also a national AAAA scenic spot. In 2009, Wugong mountain was shortlisted for the gold medal of "the most favorite scenic spot of Chinese college students". The scenic area covers an area of more than 360 square kilometers and is about 150 kilometers long. Most of the scenic area is located in the central and western parts of Jiangxi Province, extending from Yichun, Jiangxi Province to the southwest to Chaling, Hunan Province. It is mainly composed of granite and gneiss, with an altitude of 1000 ∼ 1500 meters. The main peak, baihefeng (Jinding), is 1918.3 meters above sea level. Wugong Mountain has many beautiful peaks with different shapes. There are dozens of peaks above 1000 meters above sea level. The natural scenery is characterized by high mountains, dense forests, streams, and many religious relics, among which waterfall group, alpine meadow and Jinding ancient altar group are the three most spectacular.

Wugong Mountain, together with Hengshan Mountain and Lushan Mountain, was once known as the three famous mountains in the south of the Yangtze River in history, and was named "hengshou Luwei Wugong Zhong". Wugong mountain is a list of unique peaks. Wugong Mountain in Jiangxi Province is the watershed of Yuanshui, Lushui and Heshui in Ganjiang River system, and of Heshui and Lushui in Xiangjiang River system. Yuanshui and Lushui valleys in the north are fault valleys with low and gentle watershed, along which Zhejiang Jiangxi railway passes. There are abundant coal deposits on both sides of the mountain, and Pingxiang and Anyuan coal mines are the most famous. Wugong mountain is also a natural animal and botanical garden. How many rare birds and animals, rare flowers and precious trees grow here. For example, Tragopan, South China tiger, macaque, water deer, Silver Pheasant, giant salamander and so on are national key protected animals. Rare plants include Taiwan pine, Rhododendron Yunjin, Rhododendron Hericium, Cephalotaxus grandis, Dendrocalamus grandis, orchid, etc. Known as the "three elders of plants", ginkgo trees grow into forests. The largest one is 24.5 meters high, 12.1 meters in circumference and 3.63 meters in diameter. It has been more than a thousand years. It is said that Emperor Qianlong once called it the "king of trees in the mountains". There are many kinds of pines in Wugong mountain. They are old and vigorous, dark green and beautiful. They are deeply rooted and have peculiar shapes. Taiwan pines give people a sense of boundlessness. The main landscapes of Wugong Mountain include: longwangtan, jingxinqiao, Xianchi, fenghuodong, sanbaoyan, diaomashuan, jiguanyan, qianzhangya, wansongyan, TANKOU waterfall, Sandiequan, niaolongtan, Yingbin pine, etc.
