It was also the landing site where Dongjiang column secretly rescued Mao Dun, Zou Taofen and others after the fall of Hong Kong. There is a memorial to the north and the East, hidden in a deep gully. Shayuyong is located at the estuary of a small river. The beach is about 200 meters long. Small fishing boats are often moored on the beach.
