Longquanyan Temple Group

Longquanyan Temple group is located 1 km north of Tuopu Town, which is the nearest sea of Sangpu mountain. There are many stone caves connected with each other. Since the Song Dynasty, scholars have visited and chanted here, leaving many stone carvings. Later generations built many temples here, especially in recent years. There is spring in the mountain, so it is called longquanyan.

Longquanyan Temple group is located in the north of Tuopu Town, Shantou City, Guangdong Province. It is the nearest sea of Sangpu mountain, a branch of Wuling Mountain. There are many stone caves connected with each other. Since the Song Dynasty, scholars have visited and chanted here, leaving many stone carvings. Later generations built many temples here, especially in recent years. There is spring in the mountain, so it is called longquanyan.

history

Longquan rock is divided into upper rock and lower rock. The upper rock is a natural stone cave with a huge stone top, which can hold dozens of people. The lower rock is a temple built by man, and remains today. There are also "zilaiyan", "Shixian Pavilion" and "wenggong academy" beside the rock. "Weng Gong academy" is said to be Weng Wanda's reading place when he was young. Rock has been a tourist attraction since the Ming Dynasty, with many famous poets' poems and articles. Around Longquan rock, there are still ancient stone inscriptions. There are ancient dragons spitting water in Longquan rock. It is said that in ancient times, a yellow dragon was ordered by the Jade Emperor to eliminate pestilence for the people, lying on the rock, spitting out a trickle of spring, and the pestilence nearby disappeared. From then on, this spring was left. The monks in the temple regarded it as the most precious treasure, collected it in gourd all the year round, and sent it to all the benefactors to teach them: "this is ambergris, which can eliminate disease and Exorcism, drink it for children, improve their health and intelligence, drink it for women, and give birth to what they want Men have children. " The spring from Longkou is the spring of legend.

Renchen (1645) of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty left behind the cliff stone inscription "Longquan rock record" in front of the natural stone cave (that is, the main hall), which said: "in Tianshun, there is a monk who understands the spring. He sincerely holds his mantle and aims to live in Siyan. Tu Chi's scene was desolate. He knocked at the Lu and got the capital of Yinghe. So he asked the craftsman to investigate the collapse and add pillars to it. " In the spring of Renchen (1472) in Chenghua, the commander of Chaowei, the Duke of Zhou and his subordinates, Hou Jin of Daihu, came to look at this place in his spare time. He also looked at it from the rock. The gate was rugged and the traveler was ill. As a result, he raised money to build up a good family, and divided his salary and capital into good families. He paid for what he had done. After counting the months, he finished his work. " In the Qing Dynasty, it was repaired.

The main hall may not be grand enough, but I feel very happy, especially the word "Buddha" cut from potted plants.

Features of scenic spots

Longquan rock in Chaoshan temple is divided into upper rock and lower rock. Shangyan is a natural cave with huge stones covering the top. The peak of Longquan cave rises and falls, with luxuriant vegetation, green water and green mountains. The scenery is charming. The cave is composed of numerous karst caves and underground rivers. It is more than 1200 meters long. It is like a rotating hall with two floors. In the lower water cave, there is a clear stream winding about 1000 meters. The bottom of the water is sand and stone, which can be seen by water. The stream is clear, but not knee deep. Along the stream, there are thousands of sceneries, and there is a state of "mountains and rivers are complex, no road is doubted, and there is another village with dark willows and bright flowers". The dry cave consists of five halls, each of which has a large number of scenic spots and can accommodate more than ten thousand tourists. It is composed of many stalagmites, stalagmites, stone curtains and stone flowers, which are vivid and colorful. There are many stalactites in the cave wall, like waterfalls, trees and candles. Climbing up along the stone steps, there is a broad hall with a slope. On the ground, there are stone pillars and stone mushrooms. On the wall of the cave, there are stone tents and stone curtains, which are like three-dimensional scenery on the stage. Then, along the stone steps, there is a half circular inclined hall, with a variety of scenery, such as shutters and curtains, neat and elegant; like embroidery and carving, with a variety of forms; like pastoral fields, with a fairy bed, a fairy chair and several fairy footprints. Climb up 52 steps and enter a dragon palace. There are three-dimensional sculptures up, down, left and right.
