Here, the Shenzhen Municipal Government specially held a special meeting on the planning and development of the eastern coastal area. Li Hongzhong, member of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party committee and mayor of Shenzhen, said at the meeting: the time is ripe to start the development of the Dapeng Peninsula.
Dapeng Peninsula, located in the east of Longgang District, Shenzhen, is surrounded by the sea on three sides, Daya Bay in the East, Huizhou in the East, Dapeng Bay in the west, and Hong Kong New Territories in the distance. It has a land area of 294.18 square kilometers, a coastline of 133.22 kilometers, and a forest coverage rate of 76%. It has unique mountain and sea scenery, tourism resources, rich human resources, obvious geographical advantages and huge development potential. Along the coast, there are more than ten beaches, such as Xiasha, Xichong, Dongchong and judiaosha. The sand on these beaches is soft and medium to fine. Due to the strict protection of ecological resources, Dapeng Peninsula has become the largest and best preserved ecological paradise in Shenzhen.
Geopark
Dapeng Peninsula National Geopark covers an area of about 150 square kilometers. The geological heritage protection area covers an area of 56.3 square kilometers. The landscape of the peninsula is characterized by ancient volcanoes and coastal landforms. With the combination of three-dimensional landscape of mountain, sea, forest and sky, it integrates seclusion, beauty and wonder, and can be called the national treasure.
Dapengshan
Dapeng Peninsula has a beautiful Dapeng mountain, surrounded by the sea on three sides, which is composed of seven peaks of different shapes. Among them, the highest is Qiniang mountain, with an altitude of ancient volcanic relics and coastal landform. Geological relic landscape resources are mainly composed of ancient volcanic relic and coastal landform, with typical volcanic lithofacies section, paleontological origin (including ancient cultural sites), fault fold structure, waterfall, collapse geological relic, submarine coral reef, etc.
About 135 million years ago, in the late Jurassic, the Pacific plate subducted to the Eurasian plate. At that time, Shenzhen was on the edge of the continental plate, and large-scale volcanic eruption occurred, leaving a large number of paleovolcanic geological relics. Great changes took place in the ecological environment at that time.
65 million years ago. After the late Cretaceous, the Pacific plate collided with the Eurasian plate and underwent Himalayan orogeny. The South China Sea ocean basin expanded and split, and the Dapeng Peninsula separated from the Hong Kong block.
From 18300 to 38400, there were two transgressions in the middle of late Pleistocene and Holocene. The coast was continuously eroded and eroded by hydrodynamic forces for a long time, resulting in many strange marine deposits and erosion landscapes.
scenic spot
Dapeng Peninsula mainly refers to Dapeng, Kwai Chung and Nan'ao. This land is the largest and best preserved ecological pure land in Shenzhen, with a forest coverage rate of 76%. It has many peaks such as qiniangshan (National Geopark), paiyashan (Nature Reserve), hengtouling, etc. Dapeng Peninsula is the "Gold Coast" of Shenzhen. In July 2003, the government of Longgang District entrusted McKinsey, an internationally famous consultant, to complete the Research Report on regional development strategy of Shenzhen Dapeng Peninsula in three months. The research report suggests that Dapeng Peninsula should be built into the leading ecological peninsula for sustainable development in China. Li Hongzhong then instructed that no unit or individual should carry out development and construction in the Dapeng Peninsula without the approval of the executive meeting of the municipal government. In August 2004, the Binhai Planning Bureau was set up in Shenzhen, which belongs to the agency of the Municipal Planning Bureau, and its business area is the coastal area in the east of Shenzhen.
According to the development plan, Longgang mainly develops the industry with international conference center, small and medium-sized training and holiday tourism as the core. Cooperate with powerful developers, take the overall development mode, give priority to Xiasha and Dongchong areas, and plan a number of good tourism projects. In terms of development ideas, we should strive to build Dapeng Peninsula into a high-level and high-quality seaside resort, make it the carrier of Shenzhen's practice of the scientific outlook on development, an organic part of the construction of an international city, and a new growth point of Shenzhen's economic and social development.
Here, Li Hongzhong said at the special meeting on planning and development of the eastern coastal area held in the city that after several years of preparation, the time is ripe to start the development of Dapeng Peninsula. However, in principle, we must not act rashly to delay the future generations.
The traffic facilities that have been constructed and planned to be constructed in the eastern coastal area include: Yantian Kuichong section of Yanba expressway, yanpai expressway, Huiyan expressway, Pingshan Xichong section of Pingxi first-class highway, double track of Pingyan railway, etc. The constructed and planned projects include: Daya Bay Ling'ao Nuclear Power Station Phase II, Dapeng diefu Shenzhen East power plant, Dapeng diefu LNG terminal, Shangdong Guanghui oil and gas depot, etc.
Xichong is located in the south of Nan'ao, Dapeng Peninsula. Among them, Xichong beach is the longest beach in Shenzhen. The golden beach is as elegant and comfortable as silk. Mountains, seas, lakes and headlands are beautiful, with green mountains, green waters, sea and sky, invincible scenery, invincible sea view -- Langqin Bay, the most quiet one in Xichong. With the completion of Yanba Expressway and Pingxi expressway, the traffic conditions in the eastern coastal area have been greatly improved. The expressway greatly shortens the space-time distance between the eastern coastal area and the urban area of Shenzhen, while the Pingxi Expressway enables the rapid traffic to extend to Xinda, the throat of Dapeng Peninsula (only 8.5 km away from Xichong).
