Zhonghua Xiaode Garden (formerly known as Cao'e scenic spot) is located at the foot of Fenghuang Mountain in the southwest of Shangyu City, covering an area of 37.5 hectares. It is the core block of Cao'e River provincial scenic spot. The theme of the scenic spot is "filial piety culture", relying on the ancient emperor Yushun who is "filial piety moves the sky" and the filial daughter Cao E who is "saving her father by throwing herself into the river" in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Through the excavation of Yushun culture, filial piety culture, Buddhist culture and folk culture, the scenic spot focuses on the long human history of Shangyu, inherits and promotes the filial piety spirit that has inspired the Chinese nation for thousands of years. The great form has no shape. It is designed by Zhu Guangya, a famous ancient architect. It mainly includes the buildings of the Shun Shun temple, the Shun Shun ancestral hall, the pagoda temple, the China filial piety Pavilion, and echoes with the sculptures of "elephant farming birds" created by the master of art, Mr. Han Meilin. With the idea of "elephant invisible", it strives for simplicity, thick and air, and fully embodies the quality of Shun and Shun's filial piety and virtue. It is a historical and cultural resort for light, leisure and entertainment.

In February 2020, in honor of medical workers, the scenic spot will be open to medical workers from the end of the epidemic to December 31, 2020.

Introduction to scenic spots

Cixiao Pavilion

Xiaode Pavilion is a two-story Square Pavilion like building in the Qing Dynasty. It is 13.8 meters long, 22.3 meters wide and 22.3 meters high. The base of the platform is stone xumizuo, and the top is zanjianding. It's a place to enjoy the scenery of Cao'e River.

Xiaobao Hongtian

The drop of water level in Hongtian of Xiaobao waterfall is about 2 meters. The vertical surface of the waterfall is in the form of seals and stone carvings. Contemporary calligraphers write different characters of Xiaobao. Cascading waterfalls, in the ripples of water, "filial piety" is like flowing and jumping.

Dashun Temple

Dashun Temple adopts the architectural style of the Han Dynasty, with a construction area of 4370 square meters. It is composed of Dashun hall, Mountain Gate corridor, North and South Auxiliary hall, Zhonghua Pavilion, etc. The whole group of buildings are paved with granite and decorated with exquisite stone and copper carvings. They are rough and delicate, simple and elegant. They organically integrate ancient buildings with modern aesthetics, which is unique.

Yushun ancestral hall

Yushun ancestral hall adopts the architectural style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a wooden structure building, which is divided into two courtyards. It is composed of main hall, stage, watchtower, bedroom, North and South Wing rooms, with a building area of 2775 square meters. The wood carvings are designed and produced by the master of Arts and crafts, Mr. Lu Guangzheng. The themes are from the stories of twenty-four filial piety, hundred filial piety and Dashun.

Prajna Temple

Prajna Temple ("Prajna" pronounced "Bole") is a wooden structure building, with a construction area of 5998 square meters. It is a traditional Buddhist place, consisting of the main hall, Mountain Gate, bell and Drum Tower, wing room and Sutra Pavilion. The temple name was taken by Guangxiu elder, abbot of Tiantong ancient temple in Ningbo, and inscribed by Chuanyin elder, President of China Buddhist Association and President of China Buddhist College. The temple "adheres to the tradition and conforms to the contemporary era", takes charity, education, humanities and meditation as the cornerstone of practice, and strives to become a pure land for all living beings to cultivate themselves.

Shungeng group sculpture

Based on the allusion of "Xiang Geng Niao Yun", Shungeng group sculpture was created by Han Meilin, a famous artist in China. It is the largest group sculpture in Asia. The sculpture consists of 15 stone elephants, 68 meters in length and 27 meters in height. It is carved from sesame white granite. Emperor Shun stands on the elephant, supporting the plow with his left hand and holding the sun, moon and stars with his right hand.

Zhonghua Pavilion

Chonghua Pavilion is named after Yao Chonghua, Emperor Shun (it is said that Shun Mu has two pupils, so it is also called Chonghua). It looks like an ancient granary. There are eight granite pillars formed in one, each of which is 10.5 meters high, 1.2 meters in diameter and weighs more than 40 tons. It is magnificent.

Traces of Shun in China

Shenzhou Shunji group carving is composed of 18 original natural stones containing historical time and space. He Zhongling, a famous sculptor, is the creator of the design, which is elaborately produced by Fujian Dingli carving art Co., Ltd. The work continues the natural, simple and rugged original style of ancient rock paintings and stone reliefs in China. The sculptors are elegant and elegant, turning the virtual into the real, and the perfect combination of heaven and man. The art reproduces the civilized footprints of Dashun, the ancestor of morality, who practiced morality and filial piety all his life.

Free policy
