Ru Jing Tang

Rujing hall is located on the Bank of Wulihu Lake and at the foot of Qin mountain in the south of Baojie bridge, covering an area of 10 mu. It was built by teachers and students of national Jiaotong University and Wuxi Guoxue special school as well as Xue Mingjian to commemorate Tang Wenzhi's 70th birthday. It is the villa Academy of Tang Wenzhi, a famous educator in modern times. It has a quiet environment and exquisite architecture.

The origin of history

Rujing Hall (Tang Wenzhi Memorial Hall) is located on the shore of Taihu Lake. It is managed by Yuantouzhu scenic spot in Taihu Lake. Rujing hall, initiated by Zhang Tingjin and Hu Duanxing of Jiaotong University, is a commemorative villa built in 1934 to celebrate Tang Wenzhi's 70th birthday. It is named "Rujing hall" after Tang Wenzhi. Construction started in March 1934 and was completed on December 10, 1935. Professor Qian Zhonglian wrote Ru Jing Tang tablet. In 1984, in order to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Tang Wenzhi's birth, Wuxi Municipal People's government appropriated funds to renovate the "Mr. Tang Wenzhi Memorial Hall" with its daughter-in-law "Mr. Yu Qingtang Memorial room", which was opened on December 20, 1985. Lu Dingyi, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), inscribed the banner of "Ru Jing Tang" at the entrance, the plaque of Zhou Gucheng Shu memorial hall, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the banner of Yu Qingtang memorial hall, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and Deng Yingchao, chairman of the CPPCC, inscribed "Mr. Yu Qingtang Memorial Hall". In 1983, the Ru scripture hall was renovated. After the renovation, there are "Mr. Tang Wenzhi Memorial Hall" and "Mr. Yu Qingtang Memorial room", a famous social educator and Mr. Tang Wenzhi's eldest daughter-in-law. The life, handwriting, photos, works and articles of Tang Wenzhi and Yu Qingtang, as well as the ink works of Qian Weichang, Zhou Gucheng, Lu Dingyi and Deng Yingchao are displayed in the memorial hall and the memorial room respectively. In addition, there is a "special counter of Jiaotong University" where photos and documents of Tang Wenzhi and Jiaotong University are placed. In 1986, Ru Jing Tang was listed as "Wuxi cultural relics protection unit". In 2010, Yuantouzhu Scenic Area Management Office renovated and rearranged the memorial hall. The memorial hall opened to the public with a new look and became a major cultural holy land and scenic spot on the Bank of Wulihu Lake.

Exhibition facilities

Facing Wulihu Lake, the memorial hall has a red lacquer gate with a plaque of "Ru Jing Tang" written by Lu Ding. The whole building is small and exquisite, with various twists and turns. There are all kinds of halls, study rooms, pavilions and living rooms. The main hall is decorated with "Mr. Tang Wenzhi Memorial Hall". The inscription of Ru Jing Tang, written by Professor Qian Zhonglian, an alumnus of Wuxi Sinology school, is well embedded in the wall of the hall.

On the wall in the middle of the memorial hall is a portrait of Mr. Zhang, who is kind-hearted and dignified. There are many precious cultural relics in the room. On display are the memorials of tens of thousands of words written to Emperor Guangxu, demanding political reform, criticizing current abuses, criticizing power and traitors, and severely punishing defeated generals. This proposition is half a year earlier than Kang Youwei's "public car submission". There is also a couplet hanging on the wall of the exhibition room, "life is only honest and upright, the world must rely on backbone support", which was used by Mr. Wang to encourage students when he was in Shanghai Jiaotong University. This is also a reflection of his life's moral character.

After the failure of the reform, Weng Tonghe was dismissed and sent back to his hometown in Changshu. Many ministers did not dare to see him off, but he risked his life to see him off. Shanghai Jiaotong University can become one of the most famous universities of science and Engineering in China, which is inseparable from the pioneering work of Mr. The school has the reputation of "good middle school" (referring to Chinese Literature), good science and good sports ", and has cultivated a number of early scientific and technological talents for our country. In the memorial hall, there is also a recording of Mr. Yu's reading. At that time, Mr. Yu's reading was known as "tangdiao" and enjoyed a great reputation.

There is also a memorial room for Yu Qingtang, Tang Wenzhi's daughter-in-law. Yu Qingtang made great contributions to social education before and after the founding of the people's Republic of China.
