Hongqiao gallery is a scenic spot located in an old western style house in the western suburb of Shanghai.

From the beginning of its establishment, Hongqiao Gallery, with a sincere and rigorous academic attitude, has combed and studied the development history of Chinese contemporary art in the past 20 years. At the same time, it is also committed to exploring and studying the development direction of Chinese contemporary art and promoting the internationalization process of Chinese Contemporary Art. Nearly 30 years after the cultural revolution is the 30 years for China to recognize the western art system again. It has gone through a process of learning and digesting. A large number of Chinese contemporary artists have carried out beneficial practice and attempt on the Sinicization of western modern and contemporary art. We have made an in-depth study of the specific cases of Liu Wei, Zhou Chunya, Tang Zhigang, Hong Lei and other contemporary artists. We hope that through holding individual exhibitions for these artists, we can have an objective attitude to deeply explore the development of Chinese contemporary art in the past 20 years and restore its real historical value. At the same time, we also notice that the rapid development of China in today's world has occupied a pivotal position, has become the focus of global attention. The rapid development of economy is bound to promote the development of culture and art. Under the background of globalization, China, which carries 5000 years of traditional culture, is bound to present a new artistic phenomenon belonging to this particular era. We have been trying to find, discover and help young artists who live in this particular historical period, inheriting traditional culture and keeping pace with advanced western cultural concepts. Their art is of great significance today. Therefore, while studying and promoting famous artists, we should think more about how to promote the future development and internationalization of Chinese contemporary art. On February 28, 2006 and September 4, 2006, we held two national "new interface" art exhibitions in Hongqiao gallery and Shanghai Liu Haisu Art Museum. He has recommended such potential young artists as Ji Dachun, Lou Shenyi, Wei Jia, Shi Xinji, Shang Yixin, Lin Guocheng, Po Shui, He Wei, etc. It expresses our expectation to grow up side by side with the new generation of Chinese young artists and go to the world. In the daily operation of Hongqiao Gallery, while learning from the operation mode of Western first-class galleries, combined with the characteristics of Chinese culture, efforts are made to explore a set of operation and management mode suitable for Chinese galleries at the present stage. We actively establish relations with world-class art institutions, art expositions, art museums and museums, and promote Chinese contemporary art to the world through exchanges and cooperation.
