Xiangshui Lake Scenic Spot

Xiangshui Lake scenic area, with a total area of 18 square kilometers, is a natural Jinxiu Valley integrating the Great Wall, ancient caves, mountains, springs, pools and waterfalls.

The scenic spot is located in the valley. On both sides of the valley, there are undulating peaks and towering rocks. The Great Wall, which has experienced the vicissitudes of life but still has the ancient appearance, is just like a giant dragon flying into the sky. It is very spectacular.

The cliff inscriptions of the Ming Dynasty also added some dignity to the ancient fortress. The natural Lianyun cave and totem pavilion are as mysterious and interesting as the ghost master. The surging mountain spring falls down from the top of the mountain, forming a waterfall with a drop of more than 50 meters, which makes people relaxed and happy after watching.

Xiangshui Lake Scenic Spot

Xiangshui Lake scenic spot is a national 2A scenic spot. Located in the east of dazhenyu village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, about 85 km away from the urban area. Take bus no.916 from Dongzhimen long distance bus station to Huairou International Conference Center, and then transfer to CMB. Drive along Jingmi Expressway to Huairou, and then drive along the direction of Mutianyu to the west of Mutianyu roundabout for about 13 km. It is a tourist scenic spot integrating the Great Wall, ancient caves, mountains, springs, pools and waterfalls. It was opened to the public in 1998.

Main attractions

The scenic area covers an area of 18 square kilometers, stretching for 5 kilometers. The main landscapes are Xiangshui lake, moshikou great wall and lianyunling Great Wall. Xiangshui lake, located in the north of the scenic spot, is not a large area of water, but the source of spring water. Due to the large flow of spring water, the sound of lake water can be heard thousands of meters away, so it is called Xiangshui lake.

The great wall of Ming Dynasty circled on the mountain ridge of the scenic spot. The great wall here is the ancient Great Wall moshikouguan, which was built in 1404, Yongle of Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 600 years. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, a water gate was built here, also known as "Wengcheng", with two gates, so it is also called "shuangguanzi". It is a rare pass in the ancient Great Wall and is well preserved. In the pass, there are four big characters "Tian she Jin Tang" written by Xu Maoqi, a native of Baoxian County, in the year of xuyin (1578) of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. In 1973, the Ministry of water resources built a reservoir dam with a height of 33 meters and a length of 112 meters, making the ancient Great Wall more spectacular. Health Grand Canyon is located in the northwest of the scenic area. The mountain springs in the valley pour down from top to bottom, forming a group of waterfalls of different sizes. Along the winding path, you can also see the stone carvings of 50 ancient famous doctors such as Li Shizhen, Tao Hongjing and Dong Feng. In addition, there are Tuteng Pavilion, Lianyun cave, Moya stone carving, Xiaotian dog, Guanyin baozi, Shouquan toad, etc.

Internal traffic - bus routes

Take bus no.916 at Dongzhimen long distance bus station to Huairou International Conference Center, transfer to CMB and get off at xiangshuihu.

External traffic - self driving routes

Out of Sanyuanqiao, take the airport expressway. After getting off the expressway, take Jingmi road. After entering Huairou County, drive in the direction of Mutianyu in the northwest. After 8 kilometers to Mutianyu Island, there are advertising signs along the road.

1. Zhenggui tour route

Admission to Xiangshui Lake scenic area is 32 yuan. Xiangshui Lake climbing scenic area is far away from the gate, you need to drive in, about 10 minutes.

2. Lianyunling Great Wall route

There is a crossroad about 50 or 60 meters away from the gate of Xiangshui Lake scenic area. There is a road from the intersection to the North (facing the left-hand direction of Xiangshui Lake gate). You can go to the gap of the Great Wall by the way. Dengcheng Road on the inside of the Great Wall has been blocked by villagers, and only the outside of the great wall can go to the city. After climbing the Great Wall, the slope of some sections is larger and there are more shrubs. Go straight along the Great Wall to jiuyanlou, the commanding point of Xiangshui Lake scenic area. You can see the scenery of Beijing city by climbing jiuyanlou.

3. The outer route of the Great Wall

There is a crossroad about 50 or 60 meters away from the gate of Xiangshui Lake scenic area. From the intersection to the North (facing the left-hand direction of Xiangshui Lake gate), there is a road to the great wall gap. If you don't climb the great wall and cross the gap, you can walk all the way to jiuyanlou, the commanding point of Xiangshui Lake scenic spot.

4. Wangquanyu Great Wall route

There is a crossroad about 50 or 60 meters away from the gate of Xiangshui Lake scenic area. From the intersection to the South (facing the right-hand direction of Xiangshui Lake gate), there is a road with the words "wangquanyu Great Wall, undeveloped Great Wall, no climbing". Go along the road to the fork of a small road. Instead of taking the main road, go up the mountain from the small road and directly insert it into the second beacon tower of wangquanyu Great Wall. From here, you can climb along the great wall and pass the famous "jade tower" to the boundary between wangquanyu great wall and Jiankou Great Wall - Beijing knot (but you should pay attention to that when you pass the jade tower and go further, you should reach the seventh beacon tower and the eighth beacon tower. The Great Wall bifurcates, so it is necessary to turn left.). From Beijing to jiuyanlou in the north, to Yingfei of Jiankou Great Wall in the East. From the sixth beacon tower of wangquanyu Great Wall to Beijing knot and from Beijing knot to jiuyanlou, I have met people climbing up from Xiangshui lake. The path between the seventh beacon tower of wangquanyu great wall and Beijing knot leads to Zhuanghu village, which is in Xiangshui Lake scenic area.

Traffic information: take no.916 bus to the conference center at Dongzhimen and transfer to dazhenyu bus to the scenic spot. You can drive from Sanyuan bridge to Huairou on Jingshun Road, then to Mutianyu Island, and then 8 km to the West.
