Fahua learning temple was founded in 2000. Since the opening of the mountain, when the Municipal Administration of Pudong is booming and the World Expo is unfolding, the temple has changed its address many times. After several twists and turns, Linpu Jiadi was set up around 2004, adjacent to the entrance of Shangzhong Road Tunnel in central, so the overall planning and design were carried out according to local conditions. Over the past six years, on the basis of keeping the overall blueprint unchanged, fahua Xuexue temple has revised and supplemented many details. With the joint efforts of zisu, the front yard has been built on a brilliant scale and opened to the public in May 2010 as one of the reception places of Shanghai Buddhist World Expo. Fahua Xuexue Temple faces south in the north, adjacent to Huangpu River in the west, and its main entrance is located in the East. It can reach the front yard through the simple wooden fence gate. The floor to ceiling windows at the four corners of the building are made of dark blue tempered coated glass, which not only blocks the external vision, but also enables the interior to obtain more natural light. Through the glass and sliding door, the pool and grass in the environment are introduced into the interior, so that the interior and exterior spaces are integrated, low-carbon and environmentally friendly. The surface of the wooden structure of the building is painted with clear water mahogany color paint, showing the wood grain texture, showing the simplicity and simplicity. In this way, from the material to the color, it continues not only the modern fashion, but also the classical wooden tradition.
Before the Jintang is an open stone square with curved corridors on the left and right. The front runs through the river and the mountain gate is across the river, which together constitute the central space of the front yard. Finally, a shallow bamboo fence around the temple melts the limited temple into the surrounding continuous central green belt. At the same time, the secluded environment sets off the width of the front courtyard center. The square can store water as a pool, symbolizing the boundless sea of bitterness. With the revival of traditional Chinese culture, especially relying on the economic and cultural foundation of Jiangnan region, fahua Xuexue temple is expected to become a base for the transmission of traditional elegant cultural heritage.
In terms of ethical system, Buddhism, especially Tiantai Sect, has the tradition of protecting the country, believing that Buddhism, the state and individuals can be connected and integrated. Adhering to the long cherished wish of yuanjiao and the function of remembering harmony, architectural construction leads the way, and the fundamental implementation is the cultivation of monks: only by building temples and establishing monks can we achieve a complete sense of Daoism.
According to the latest planning and design, the Temple group is located in the central green belt, surrounded by Huangpu River water and isolated from the outside. Within the group, there are three routes, nine hospitals. The middle road is the axis of Buddha worship. From the south to the north, the main units of the axis are Shanmen, Jintang, Liuli hall, Dabei hall, Fatang and sengliao. The land use has been implemented. The east road is the cultural axis, and the west road is the life axis. The two roads will build "harmony" (Museum of cultural relics and Art) and "peace" (Memorial Hall of historical eminent monks) twin towers respectively. The land is being applied for.
During this period, the public's original intention was not to retreat, and they became more and more loyal to Daoism. They were blessed by the Buddhist power and the prosperity of the land. They also relied on the protection of Ciyun and the common cultivation of Futian. During the past ten years, there were both the guidance of great virtue and benevolence from the educational circles and the compassionate support of ten good faith. Master Daxi also entertained himself in painting and calligraphy, and raised money for several charity sales. Jintang has been initially completed, the interior design is in progress, and the front yard has begun to take shape. The glazed hall will be built soon.
The building construction is very long, and the cultivation of monks has a long way to go, because the two treasures of Buddhism are passed on by Lai Seng Hong. Master Daxi, the abbot, has been attaching great importance to the cultivation of young monks for many years, and has provided financial support and guidance. Several of them are studying Buddhism overseas and studying doctoral programs in universities. Once the construction project is completed, they will come back to live in the temple to study and promote Buddhism. In addition to becoming a monk, the Buddhist dharma needs to be protected by the monks at home. In this regard, fahua Xuexue temple will combine its own functional orientation, and strive to rely on the traditional culture research statement, Yin Ming, Yi Fang Ming, Gong Qiao Ming and Nei Ming, so as to cultivate the external protection environment of monks' talent and learning.
In essence, Daochang is set up to cultivate the common pursuit of Taoism by both monks and customs, so the construction of Daochang itself depends on the common mental karma of both monks and customs. From this point of view, the architectural layout is only one aspect of the construction of the Taoist temple. What is more important is the cultivation of the monks and the common people in the construction process. It is the condensation of mental karma, the deep desire to endure and enjoy the real virtues and abilities - the four truths, the three treasures and the fruits of karma. Pure heart is faith, and the establishment of good knowledge and confidence.
The whole Buddhism is a great Fukuda. And the final appearance depends on the common karma and good fortune of all living beings. It is expected that more sentient beings can accumulate wealth of happiness and wisdom, improve their lives, initiate extraordinary Bodhi Heart, and successfully achieve humanity and Buddhism.
