Xingjue Temple
Xingjue temple, formerly known as Yueming temple, was built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty (1573-1620) and was presided over by a Buddhist monk named xingben. In 1705, Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty was on a tour to the south. The monk Ben Chong was called to Songjiang. The Emperor Kangxi wrote the word "Xing Jue Temple" to grant an amount, so the temple got its name. In the tenth year of Xianfeng (1860), it was burned up by the Taiping army. In 1878, Yongji, a monk, raised money to rebuild. In the 1960s, the religious activities of xingjue temple were stopped, the monks were demobilized, and the houses were used for other purposes.
In April 1994, according to the requirements of the majority of Buddhist believers, the people's Government of Jinshan County approved the reconstruction of xingjue temple in the north of Fengyang road in Fengjing and the north end of Bainiu road. In addition, the religious real estate policy was implemented, and 6 mu of land was allocated for temple reconstruction. The rest of the land was rented from the temple to local villagers. It was officially opened to the outside world on August 26, 1995. In order to straighten out the relationship and ensure the rights and interests of temples, the land requisition procedures outside the fall of government were completed in 1999. The temple covers an area of 10185 square meters (15.28 mu), with a construction area of 3025 square meters. There are Mountain Gate, wing room, zushi hall, dizang hall, four Tianwang hall, Yuantong hall, comprehensive building, guest room, Liaofang, Jiupin lotus tower and release pool.

In January 2005, the temple broke ground to build a new jade Buddha building and Gongde hall, which will be completed in December of that year. The building area of Yufo building is 968 square meters, and that of Gongde hall is 941 square meters. The two new projects are two floors.
The ground floor of the main hall of the Jade Buddha building is mainly for Sakyamuni jade Reclining Buddha, with a total length of 4 meters and a height of 1.5 meters; the second floor is nearly 200 square meters, with an area of 500 Luohan hall. The bottom floor of the main hall of Gongde hall is Gongde hall, where more than ten thousand dead Buddhist tablets can be placed; the second floor is dedicated to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. In addition to the main hall, each building has 8 senior guest rooms for believers' accommodation, each with an area of 40 square meters, and a full set of sanitary facilities and air conditioning. Next, xingjue Temple plans to build a new Sutra building behind the pagoda on the main axis, with a construction area of 588.53 square meters, which is a two-story antique building.
As soon as xingjue Temple enters the mountain gate, a bronze statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva, which is 4 meters high, 3.5 meters wide and weighs 8 tons, welcomes you. On both sides of the bronze statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva, there are two small side halls, which are dedicated to the ancestors, the Bodhisattva dizang and the four heavenly kings. Each of the Four Heavenly Kings is up to 3 meters high, towering and standing upright, to protect your safety. The main hall is "Yuantong hall", which is mainly used for avalokitesvara of Pilu. There are 32 kinds of Avalokitesvara on the left and right sides. The last side of the main axis is the Jiupin lotus tower, which is 30 meters high and has 9 floors. It is made of Jinyun stone and has a delicate shape. Jialan hall is on the east side of the mountain gate, and a small garden forest is on the west side. There are two small pavilions on the release pool, which reflect the water surface. Three clusters of water lilies float on the water surface, and the released fish roam in the water, which is quite unique.
The legend of Kangxi's name
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, in order to understand the people's situation, Emperor Kangxi often visited villages and villages in private. One evening, after a private visit to Jiangbei, Kangxi prepared to go to Jiangnan. He rented a boat. After getting on the boat, the boatman asked, "my guest, where are you going?" Kangxi was very tired after working all day, so he lay down and said to the boatman, "old man, I'm going to Jiangnan. When I'm sleeping, you just shake, don't stop rowing, and don't wake me up. When I wake up, you can dock. You are so hardworking. I'll pay you twice as much for the boat. " With that, Kangxi fell asleep. The boatman rowed all night. The next day, when the sun was high, he still saw the guest asleep. He kept on rowing, remembering the guest's advice last night. After shaking for another day and night, the boatman felt very strange. The more he slept, the sweeter he was. He couldn't even turn over. And he shakes the boat for two days and two nights, does not eat, does not sleep, also does not feel tired, moreover the vigor is more and more sufficient. At noon on the third day, the boatman saw the lying guest, closed his eyes and asked, "old man, where are you now?" At this time, the boatman looked at the shore and said, "my guest, this is Fengjing in the south of the Yangtze River. It's just by the river of Yueming temple." At this time, Kangxi immediately sat up and asked the boatman to dock. Standing in the bow of the boat, Kangxi thought and took out five Liang silver from the bag to the boatman to buy four treasures of the study in the shop on the street. Kangxi thought: as soon as I wake up, I have arrived at Yueming nunnery in Fengjing. I will name that nunnery "wake up Temple"! Kangxi stepped on the shore and came to the temple. He raised his hand and was about to knock on the door. Unexpectedly, the closed Mountain Gate of Yueming nunnery suddenly opened. Inside, the monk Ben Chong kowtowed his head step by step and said, "long live here, little monk Ben Chong, if you lose something, you should die." At this time, the emperor was surprised and asked, "how can the master know that I have taken you to baocha?" Ben Chong and Shang said: "I learned that the emperor had arrived when I was working hard." Emperor Kangxi thought to himself: this master can feel everything in his kung fu. His power is immeasurable. At this time, the boatman bought the four treasures of the study and arrived at the mountain gate. After hearing what the monk said, he stepped back. It never occurred to him that he had shaken the boat for two days and two nights, and the passenger lying in the cabin was actually the emperor. No wonder I didn't eat or drink for two days and nights, and I didn't feel hungry. Instead, I was full of energy. It turned out that the Bodhisattva was protecting me. The boatman knelt down and kowtowed. At this moment, the emperor took the four treasures of the study and spread the rice paper on the offering table. He thought he would come to Yueming temple to wake up and write the title "xingjue Temple". Now the monk benchong is so skillful that he can feel it, so he wrote "xingjue Temple". Monk Naochong carefully made the "xingjue Temple" inscribed by the emperor into a gold plaque and hung it high in the main hall of the temple. Since then, Yueming temple has become a "sex Temple".
