Stone pagoda of Puqing Temple
The stone pagoda of Puqing temple is located 20 meters south of Puqing temple, Hushan village, Hengfan Town, Lin'an City, Zhejiang Province. It was built in 1323. All of them are built with stones, imitating the Pavilion tower. It has seven floors on six sides and is about 7 meters high. Xumizuo tower base, hexagonal, side length 0.80 meters. Each floor is composed of tower body and eaves. The first floor is 0.40 m wide and 0.56 m high. The waist eaves are carved with tube tiles. The eaves are decorated with hook head and dripping water. The corner is made of hairpin, and the wing angle is high. From the first floor to the seventh floor, the Buddha's name or Bodhisattva's image is engraved in the shade. Tasha is a stone seven phase wheel.
brief introduction
Located in the south foot of Jingshan mountain, Hushan village, Hengfan Town, Lin'an City. The stone pagoda was originally built in the temple, but the latter was destroyed. Now the stone tower stands beside the field. The stone pagoda is inscribed with the inscription: "the inscription of Wu Fuyuan in the fourth Ming Dynasty in the second year of the reign of the Great Yuan Dynasty." It has six sides and seven floors. It is made of stone and wood like structure. The cornice is tilted. The tower is 700 cm high. The base of the tower is xumizuo, and the waist is decorated with flowers and plants. The old and young berms are used, and the wing angle is higher. Columns, appendix forehead, brackets are all omitted, flat seat is also very shallow. There are pot door niches on each floor of the pagoda. From the first floor to the third floor, the Buddha's name is engraved on three sides. The other three sides are statues of Buddha and Bodhisattva. The second floor is Sakyamuni, Puxian and Manjusri. The third floor is Avalokitesvara and other Bodhisattvas. The fourth floor to the sixth floor are statues. The seventh floor is engraved with "long live the emperor" in the middle, "good weather" in the southeast and "peace of the country and the people" in the southwest. The top of the tower is a seven level stone carving phase wheel. The stone pagoda of Puqing temple is a typical work in the transitional period from prosperity to decline.
Each floor of the stone pagoda of Puqing temple is composed of the body of the pagoda and the eaves of the pagoda. On the eaves are carved with tubular tiles and boards. The eaves are decorated with hook heads and dripping water. The corner is made of hairpin, and the wing angles are raised. In the ancient architecture of Zhejiang Province, the Song Dynasty used laojiaoliang and zijiaoliang, with flat wing angle, while from the Yuan Dynasty, they used Laoban and nenban, with high wing angle. The stone pagoda of Puqing temple is one of the important examples.
Cultural relic grade
In October 1963, the people's Committee of Zhejiang Province announced that the stone pagoda of Puqing temple is a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level. In April 1981, the people's Government of Zhejiang Province re announced it as a provincial cultural relics protection unit.
In 2013, the stone pagoda of Puqing temple was selected as a national key cultural relic protection unit.

27 Buddha statues are carved on the tower
The pagoda is made of stone, with six sides and seven floors. The base is xumizuo, with waist relief and precious flowers. The bottom floor is set with a flat seat with railings. Each layer and surface is carved with Buddha statue, Buddha name and auspicious language. The body of the pagoda is carved with 27 Buddha statues, so it is commonly known as Luohan pagoda.
The stone pagoda is a typical work of the pavilion style pagoda of Yuan Dynasty in Zhejiang Province.
