Former residence of Shen Yinmo
Mr. Shen Yinmo is the first Democrat to visit after Mr. Chen Yi entered the city. He is a member of the first Shanghai Municipal People's government, a deputy director of the Central Museum of culture and history appointed by Premier Zhou, a member of the Shanghai Municipal People's Committee, a deputy to the National People's Congress and a member of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference. Shen Yinmo's former residence at 504 hailun Road, Hongkou District, is the residence of Shen Yinmo for the last 25 years of his life. The relevant departments and enterprises in Hongkou District invested 200000 yuan for the renovation of the former residence and rearranged the exhibition of the former residence. The renovated former residence of Shen Yinmo covers an area of more than 190 square meters. The free exhibition room is mainly on the first floor, which is divided into three parts, namely "pioneer of the New Culture Movement", "a generation of calligraphers of the Qing Dynasty" and "flowers of old trees in spring".

Introduction of former residence
The former residence is Shen Yinmo, who rented the house when he returned from Chongqing in 1946 and died in 1971. In 1987, Mrs. Shen's wife Chu Baoquan asked the Hongkou District People's government to organize the former residence at her own expense, which was approved by the municipal cultural relics administration committee and the Hongkou District People's Government in July 1988. With the support of the District Cultural Bureau, the former residence was renovated and completed in October 1988 and officially opened to the public on October 25, 1990. The former residence belongs to the nature of private and public assistance, which is under the assistance of Hongkou cultural relics and historical materials Museum.
Scale of former residence
The former residence is a three storey building with North and south facing. It has a clear water exterior wall. Beside the black door, there is a straight wooden plaque inscribed by Sha Menghai, "former residence of Shen Yinmo". Above the hall, there is a banner written by Zhao Puchu, "former residence of Shen Yinmo". It covers an area of 96 square meters and a construction area of 200 square meters.
On the first floor of the former residence, the former guest room and dining room were set up as exhibition rooms respectively, the study and bedroom on the second floor remained the same, and the third floor was still the storage room. The second and third floors are closed to ordinary tourists.
Furnishings of former residence
The exhibition hall on the first floor is in a horizontal "8" shape. In the hall, a half length statue of Shen Yinmo, made of glass fiber reinforced plastics, is placed. The whole body is pure white, and there is a running script inscription of Li Liqun's "a generation of coquettish". The exhibition hall consists of six sections, with six contents: early friends of our party; cultural pioneers of the May 4th Movement; a generation of great masters in the calligraphy world; leaders praise their own writing; couples have deep love with inkstones; and they are proficient in calligraphy all their lives. There are photos of Shen Yinmo's contacts with Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu, Lu Xun, Yu Youren, Guo Moruo, etc., large-scale working photos of Shen Yinmo's concentration on writing, famous stele books and pastes copied by Shen Yinmo for many years, ink, manuscripts and treatises of Shen Yinmo published all over the world, and a certificate of appointment signed by Mao Zedong on December 26, 1950 to appoint Shen Yinmo as a member of the Shanghai Municipal People's government, The original of Shen Yinmo's appointment as deputy director of the Central Museum of culture and history signed and issued by Premier Zhou, as well as a set of four treasures, seals and other precious objects used by Shen Yinmo during his lifetime.
On the west side of the second floor is the bedroom, and on the east side is the study. In the study, there is a group photo of Shen Yinmo and his wife. On both sides of the study, there are couplets written by Shen Yinmo, which are "hard work and self-reliance, gold and stone don't follow the wave". On the wall, there are many fine works of Shen Yinmo's calligraphy and a bamboo painting inlaid in the glass frame. The bookshelves, sofas, tables and chairs, pens and inkstones in the study remain the same. By the end of 1991, more than 200 pieces of historical materials and photos had been collected. The staff of the former residence published books and periodicals such as "Shen Yinmo's book, a thousand words biography of grass" and "Yin Mo's 20-year memorial to Ning Jing".
