National Convention Center

Located in the north of the bird's nest and the water cube, the National Conference Center is an eight story, nearly 400 meter long building, which is composed of a fencing hall and an international broadcasting center. The main news center (MPC) is a work area for journalists and photographers. It has more than 1000 reporter seats and hardware facilities. With a construction area of 140000 square meters, the international broadcasting center is the largest international broadcasting center in the history of the Olympic Games. After the Olympic Games, the National Convention Center has been transformed and put into operation for more than a year. Up to now, it has gone through seven years and created numerous glories. China National Convention Center

The National Convention Center is located in the central area of Beijing Olympic Park, close to the bird's nest, water cube and national stadium. It is also the core of the Asian Olympic business circle, 25 kilometers away from the capital airport, about 30 minutes drive, convenient transportation. From the National Convention Center to Tiananmen, the summer palace, the Great Wall, the Ming Tombs sightseeing tour or to the East Third Ring business district, Beijing station, Zhongguancun is also very fast. Metro Line 8 and metro line 15, which connect the city center, the railway station and the airport, have stations in the National Conference Center, and many bus lines pass through the National Conference Center.

The supporting facilities of the National Conference Center include two hotels, two office buildings and commercial buildings.

During the 2008 Olympic Games, the 6400 square meter conference hall on the fourth floor of the National Convention Center is the venue for the preliminary, semi-final and final fencing competitions, as well as modern pentathlon fencing and shooting events. The 24000 square meter exhibition hall and underground space on the first floor are used as the International Broadcasting Center (IBC) and main news center (MPC) of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

During the Paralympic Games, wheelchair fencing and hard bowling competitions were held in the 4800 square meter banquet hall on the first floor. The supporting hotel is for the use of Olympic official registered media reporters. After the Olympic Games, after the internal transformation, the National Conference Center opened on November 1, 2009. It has become the largest and newest Conference Center in China, with superior geographical location and perfect surrounding facilities. Design concept

The National Convention Center has a beautiful appearance. Its facade design is based on the curve concept of the eaves of ancient Chinese architecture, which gives a modern interpretation to the traditional architectural form. At the same time, it symbolizes a bridge, which echoes with other buildings in the Olympic Park, reflecting the communication and exchange of Humanities and information, and stepping into the future.

"Green Olympics, hi tech Olympics and people's Olympics" are the three basic concepts of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The National Conference Center has more than 100 conference rooms of different sizes, which can accommodate more than 20000 people to hold meetings at the same time, meeting the multi-functional service needs of different scales of meetings, banquets, performances, new product launches, company activities, etc. The largest hall is 6400 square meters, which can accommodate 5100 people at the same time; the grand ballroom is 4860 square meters, which can accommodate 3500 people.

The exhibition area of the National Convention Center covers a total area of 40000 square meters, which is divided into ground exhibition hall and underground exhibition hall. The floor area of the exhibition hall is 22000 square meters, and the clear height of the interior space is 12 meters. It is a columnless design and can be flexibly divided into four independent exhibition halls. The exhibition hall on the ground floor has a total area of 13000 square meters and an indoor height of 4.5 meters. In order to facilitate the construction of the exhibition stand, the water, electricity, compressed air and other standing equipment in the exhibition area are set in the ground well. Freight cars can also enter and exit directly from the large cargo gate located on the west side of the center, which is 4.8 meters high and 4.5 meters wide. The independent entrance and exit of the audience is arranged on the east side of the center.

Restaurant

The kitchen equipment of the National Conference Center can provide catering services for more than 10000 people at the same time. French executive chef and head chef of Chinese food with 30 years of catering work experience join hands to create characteristic food integrating Chinese and Western culture. In order to meet the needs of various specifications and forms, catering services include: theme banquet, buffet, banquet set, cocktail party, tea break, take out, business package box meal, etc.

The National Conference Center Hotel opened in September 2009. It was one of the hotels where registered journalists stayed during the Olympic Games. As a supporting hotel of the National Conference Center, the hotel is connected with the National Conference Center through the air corridor, and it only takes three minutes to walk.

The hotel is 60 meters high, 16 floors and has 420 rooms. The hotel has ordinary floors and executive floors, and the guest rooms are divided into senior rooms, Executive Deluxe rooms, executive suites and Executive Deluxe suites. All rooms are provided with broadband Internet access, dozens of international and domestic channels to choose from, TV programs, safe, laundry and other facilities and services. Office Building

The total office area of the National Conference Center is about 39562 square meters, which is divided into three areas: the southern area, the eastern area and the northern area. The southern area is about 7696 square meters, the eastern area is about 5989 square meters, and the northern area is about 25877 square meters.
