Historical evolution
In 1644, the Qing army entered the pass and controlled most of the country. Wusong, as the gateway of the Yangtze River, has been in fierce competition for a long time. From 1651 to 1651, the fleet of Ming generals Zhang Mingzhen and Zhang Huangyan attacked Wusong four times and the Yangtze River three times. In the 16th year of Shunzhi, Zheng Chenggong led his army into the Yangtze River and made a direct attack on Nanjing, which greatly shocked the Qing government. In the 17th year of Shunzhi, the governor of Jiangnan, Lang tingzuo, was ordered to build a fort at yangjiazui, Wusong, on the West Bank of Huangpu River. In 1718, another fort was built on the opposite bank of yangjiazui in Kangxi's 57th year. The two Fort faced each other in Jiajiang river. The East Fort was called the East Fort, and the old fort on the West Bank was renamed the West Fort.
In 1842, the Opium War entered its third year. In the early morning of May 8, the British Invaders launched a large-scale attack on Wusong fort, where Chen Huacheng, the commander-in-chief of Jiangnan Navy, fought with the British army to the death. The West Fort is the main position of Wusongkou, with 175 guns, while the East Fort has only more than 20 guns, which is an auxiliary position. Because Niu Jian, governor of Liangjiang, fled in the face of battle, Chen Huacheng fell into a solitary battle and the Western Fort fell into enemy hands. When Wusong fell, the gateway of the Yangtze River opened, and the invading army commander drove directly in, the Qing government was forced to sign an unequal treaty in Nanjing.
After the Opium War, the situation of coastal defense changed, and the defense facilities were concentrated on the West Bank of Huangpu River. The East Fort was not restored, while the West Fort was rebuilt. In 1884, during the Sino French war, French warships blocked the Shanghai port, intercepted Chinese water transport civilian ships and shelled Chinese patrol ships.
After the end of the Sino French war, in 1886, the North Fort was set up at the north end of the South Shitang in Wusong, which was the horn of the West Fort. In 1889, Shizilin fort was built on the Bank of Yuepu Yangtze River. In the 26th year of Guangxu (1900), Shen Dunhe, the general office of the self strengthening military camp Affairs Office, commanded the soldiers to blow up the Western Fort, which was condemned by the public opinion. All the imperial censors wrote a memorial to impeach him one after another. Shen Dunhe was dismissed from his post and punished by Xu Bian, and the Western Fort was finally in ruins.
After the destruction of the Western Fort, the Qing government ordered Liu Kun, the governor of Liangjiang, to "plan and recover quickly in order to boost Nanyang's important port.". Ban Guangsheng, commander of Sheng army of Liu Kun's first committee, built a new fort at the south end of South Shitang of Wusong, which is called the South Fort. It connects with the North Fort head and tail, and is 750 meters long, which is called Wusong fort. In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, the Wusong fort was heavily defended by the troops stationed in Shanghai. In the 21st year of the Republic of China, during the Anti Japanese war in Songhu on January 28th, the officers and men of the 19th route army fought bravely in the fort, repelling the Japanese attack many times, which became another important historical fact of the artillery attack on Taiwan.
The former site of wusongpao Taiwan wetland forest park is the Yangtze River beach. Its land has been backfilled with steel slag since the 1960s. In order to inherit Taiwan's long history and culture and display its rich cultural landscape, Baoshan government has planned to build a forest wetland park here since the 21st century to improve the regional ecological environment. After years of construction, the park was officially completed in 2007. The design of wusongpao Taiwan wetland forest park highlights the concept of "environmental renewal, ecological restoration and cultural reconstruction", which not only effectively protects the original beach wetland in the construction, but also creates a wetland landscape of 11 hectares along the bank line of the river through the combination of large and small ecological islands, taking advantage of the change of water level in the ebb and flow. The second phase of the project covers an area of about 20 hectares, reaching the boundary of the first phase of the park in the south, Paotai mountain in the west, Changhang Wharf in the north and the Yangtze River in the East. Centering on the planning structure and concept of "1322", namely "one theme, Wusong beacon tower, Changjiang Estuary library and World Estuary square, two passageways of Yangtze River Cultural trail and Wusong style sculpture, two landmarks of Wusong estuary and ancient fort".

Fun vacation
In order to improve the service function of the park, a business holiday has been launched recently. The Forest Resort is located in the shade of natural interest, and is dependent on the lake. The European style and Japanese style villas with unique shapes are far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, adding a quiet, natural, fresh and elegant outdoor resort to the busy urban people. A multi-purpose activity center with functions of gathering and entertainment is located in the central area of the park. There are 4 conference rooms, which can accommodate 10-150 people to meet here. In addition, there are billiard rooms and outdoor tennis courts.
Located in the south of Nenjiang road and near Nenjiang wharf, Wanzhu garden is the South Garden of the park. Taking "bamboo culture" as the theme, wanzhuyuan creates a beautiful bamboo landscape with "Jiangnan bamboo charm, pure and quiet". The undulating terrain of the bamboo garden, the lush forest of Cyclobalanopsis glauca, the long stream, the flowing water of the small bridge and the fragrance of the green bamboo form a natural scenery full of bamboo interest, which is "the sunrise is clear and beautiful, the moon is clear and clear". The main building of the bamboo garden is in the style of Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is set off against the small bridge and flowing water. It seems to have the aesthetic feeling of coming to the water town in the south of the Yangtze River. The antique "Sizhu town" is close to the "Jingzhu pond", where visitors can see bamboo pavilions, enjoy bamboo ornaments, eat bamboo meals, row bamboo boats and buy bamboo utensils. "Zhuying bridge", "mozhuzhai", "Zhuyun Pavilion", "Dai tower" and other characteristic buildings are ingeniously arranged in the bamboo garden. The perfect combination of streams, bamboo clumps and buildings creates a picture of a quiet water town.
The most characteristic is the riverside wetland beach. With the change of the water level of the rising and falling tides all year round, a continuous wetland of 11 hectares has been formed there, and the naturally generated wild plants such as reed, water bamboo, water grass and so on sway with the wind
