Former site of Japanese Embassy
The embassy was set up in the 11th year of Tongzhi and was originally located in Dongsi Liutiao. In the 12th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, it was built behind the Japanese barracks in dongjiaomin lane. It is a western style bungalow with brick and wood structure. Its facade is seven Bay, and its central opening brick is used as the arched gate. After the embassy moved in, the bungalow was used as office space, and based on the bungalow, a courtyard was expanded. After the Treaty of sinchou was signed, the Japanese Embassy moved to the new one on Zhengyi road. The scope of protection covers the north courtyard wall of the back bungalow of the former site of the Japanese Embassy in the north, dongjiaomin Lane in the south, Xiaoyong road in the west of the former affiliated building of the Japanese Embassy in the west, and the original wall and South extension line of the former site of the French Embassy in the East.
