China Bee Museum
China Bee Museum is a natural museum, located in the Beijing Botanical Garden of Xiangshan with beautiful scenery, on the west side of Wofo temple, a famous ancient temple. It belongs to the Institute of bee, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It was officially established in April 1997 with the approval of Beijing Municipal Bureau of cultural relics.
Development history
China honeybee museum is a natural science museum based on the Institute of honeybee, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The museum was established in July 1993, when the 33rd International beekeeping conference was held in Beijing. In order to show the long history and development achievements of China's beekeeping industry to the participants from all over the world, with the strong support of the Ministry of agriculture, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Chinese society of beekeeping, after more than two months of intensive building, design and exhibition, the 80 square meter exhibition hall was launched as scheduled at the opening of the conference . In order to give full play to the social benefits of honeybee Museum, it was opened to the public in October 1994. In April 1997, with the approval of Beijing Municipal Bureau of cultural relics, China honeybee museum was officially established, and the exhibition hall was expanded to 150 square meters.
Collection
Honeybee is a kind of insect with close relationship with human beings and interesting biological characteristics. In order to publicize and popularize the scientific knowledge of honeybee and the health care knowledge of bee products to the masses, our museum has been exhibiting a popular science exhibition with the theme of "honeybee is a friend of human beings" all year round. It is divided into three exhibition rooms, displaying more than 500 pictures and more than 700 specimens, models and objects. The contents include the origin and evolution of honeybee, the history of Chinese ancient beekeeping, honeybee and culture and art, Chinese honeybee and nectar plant resources, the biological characteristics of honeybee and the production of bee products, the pollination and yield increase of honeybee for crops, the health care and treatment of bee products, the development of Chinese beekeeping industry, the general situation of world beekeeping industry and international scientific and technological exchanges.
The Bee Museum is a small bungalow courtyard hidden in the jungle, with an exhibition area of 200 square meters The exhibition includes the history and culture of Chinese beekeeping, beekeeping resources, bee biology, Chinese modern beekeeping industry, scientific and technological achievements of beekeeping, beekeeping products and international exchanges. By means of pictures, charts, specimens, objects, landscape models and video playback, this paper introduces the origin of Chinese beekeeping The long history of beekeeping development, the biological knowledge of bees, modern beekeeping science and technology and the prosperity of bee product market. At the same time, it focuses on building a place for extracurricular activities of biology teaching in primary and secondary schools and a garden for loving science and learning science, cultivating primary and secondary school students' interest in bee science and biology, satisfying their desire to explore knowledge, and edifying them with noble sentiments with the "character" of bees.
