Collection works
Michelangelo to China
With the support of the Cultural Office of the Italian Consulate General in Shanghai, Hengyuan Xiangshan Art Museum and Perugia Piero vanucci Academy of fine arts signed a cooperation agreement on June 10, 2011, in which the plaster of Michelangelo's masterpiece "day and night" was used as the male model to make bronze sculptures. On September 3, 2011, the first set of "day and night morning and evening" works arrived at Xiangshan Art Museum in HengYuan, Shanghai.
Michelangelo's famous work "day and night morning and evening" marble sculpture, which took 14 years to create, is well known to the world. But before he carved marble works (should be as early as 1524), Michelangelo had created a set of clay sculpture "day and night morning and evening" as the master manuscript. His student, Vincenzo dandy, who is also a famous sculptor, made a plaster model for the final version of this clay sculpture (it is also said that the existing plaster is made by Michaelis himself). Since Vincenzo dandy was born in Perugia, Italy, he donated the set of four plaster statues of day and night to the Academy of fine arts when the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia was founded in 1573, and Michaelis's final plaster work of clay sculpture, which was more "freehand" than the later completed marble day and night, finally disappeared in the long history. Therefore, this set of plaster works of day and night existing in the Perugia Academy of fine arts has become the only treasure with the pedigree of Mie's clay sculpture works. (Mie's existing works are basically made of marble)
The marvelous bronze work "day and night, morning and dusk" on display in front of the audience is made from Mie's plaster work which was born before 1573 at the Perugia Academy of fine arts. The excellent technology of Italian craftsmen completely accurately reproduces the charm of Mie's original work. From the bronze works displayed in front of the audience, we can clearly see Michelangelo's superb skill of portraying the characters in a majestic and very "freehand" way. This free and easy effect is more rough and unrestrained than his marble works, natural and casual, and even modern, which is admirable.
Since the mould has been in existence for nearly 500 years and is also a valuable cultural relic in Italy, the project has been strictly examined and specially licensed by Italy heritage management department, and it has only authorized six sets in Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. (the bronze "day and night, morning and evening" on Michelangelo Square in Florence, Italy, is imitated by later generations, rather than copied from the original model, which basically does not have the artistic value of Michelangelo's original works.)
Only by communicating with other countries in the world can Chinese culture and art be enriched and improved. Our buildings and blocks also need excellent foreign art to decorate and beautify our lives. "Michelangelo is here", so that "day and night" can add luster to China's art world and architectural complex.
The artistic value and social value of the bronze version of day and night
Michelangelo, through the time circulation form of "day and night morning and evening", borrows characters of different ages, different genders and strong physique, which not only shows the author's emotion towards the history and society at that time, but also reflects a kind of indomitable life and the endless humanistic spirit and idea of natural things.
Vincenzo dandy made a plaster of his teacher Michelangelo's "day and night" clay sculpture and donated it to the Piero vanucci Academy of Fine Arts in Italy in 1573. The bronze works on sale this time are based on this set of male models with a history of nearly 500 years.
This is the first time in the world that Hengyuan Xiangshan Art Museum has bought out the copyright of its works in "Greater China", so as to ensure the rarity of its works.
The replica of Michaelis' day and night 'statue will be demoulded by the traditional silicone demoulding process, which has the risk of damage to the original work that has been preserved for about 500 years. Therefore, the original mold has been reproduced with the permission of the Italian government's relevant literature management agency in advance. And the factory responsible for this remaking and processing is Italy's famous art factory. They have guaranteed the artistic value of Mi's works technically, and strive to reproduce the verve of the master's works. Michelangelo's original works are rare in the world, and the works translated from the original works are also very rare. The works are converted to six sets of China shipped, one of which will be a public welfare directional donation, the two set is the collection of Xiangyuan Museum of art, and only three sets will be publicly available in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and the Chinese mainland.
Due to its artistic value and popularity in the world, as well as the exhibition in China's first tier cities by the organizers, and the first quota conversion and settlement in China, the impact of its "settlement" is likely to make the settled buildings and buildings become local landmarks and famous in the world, and the social reputation effect brought to the collectors will also attract attention in history .
Three goddesses of meihui
The bronze version of the three goddesses of meihui, the masterpiece of Antonio Canova, a famous Italian sculptor in the 18th century, was introduced by Hengyuan Xiangshan Art Museum and Perugia Piero vanucci Academy of Fine Arts in Italy. It was presented in the 16th Shanghai Art Expo on November 1, 2012.
This is another masterpiece of Hengyuan Xiangshan art museum after the introduction of Michelangelo's "day and night". This is also the world's ninth set of Canova's "three goddesses of meihui".
The first set of marble works in the three goddesses of meihui is now in the winter palace of St. Petersburg, Russia. It was designed and created by sculptor Antonio Canova for Queen Josephine. The other set is currently in the VA art gallery in England, Antonio Canova. It is specially made for the Ubon Temple sculpture gallery in Bedfordshire, England.
The third set of "Three Beauties" sculpture is the plaster version of "Three Beauties" presented by Antonio Canova to Perugia vanucci Academy of Fine Arts in 1817. In 1817, Canova was invited to visit the newly opened Perugia Piero vanucci Academy of Fine Arts in Italy. The then president of the Academy of fine arts asked Canova to present a set of works as the treasure of the Academy. Moved by the enthusiasm of all the teachers and students, Canova decided in 1819 to present the only original plaster model of the precious sculpture "three goddesses of meihui" (from the second set of works) to the college.
The fourth set to the ninth set of works are six sets of bronze works based on the third set of gypsum statues. The first one appeared in Shanghai Art Expo
