The Anti Japanese War site of Liuzhou flying tigers is a part of Liuzhou old airport and city defense fortification group, which is a national key cultural relic protection unit. During the Anti Japanese War, the Soviet volunteer aviation team and the American "flying tiger team" successively entered Liuzhou airport, leaving behind such historical sites as runway, command tower, air defense blockhouse, barracks group, ammunition depot car hole, oil depot cave, etc. There are more than 20 existing Flying Tiger barracks and Chinese people's Air Force barracks. In October 2017, Liuzhou Military Museum moved to this place and opened to the public.

In order to innovate the form of national defense education, enrich the content of national defense education, actively respond to the call of the National Defense Education Office for the construction of "national defense education theme park", and add new highlights to the construction of "national model city of double support" in Liuzhou City, the municipal government of Liuzhou Municipal Committee began to prepare for the construction of Liuzhou Military Museum Park in early 2009, And it will be included in the "top ten cultural construction projects of Liuzhou City". In 2011, Liuzhou Military Museum Park was located at 18 Dongdi road and started construction. In March, Liuzhou Military Museum Park was officially identified as one of the eight pilot units of "national defense education theme park" by the national defense education office. It was completed on May 31 and opened to the public for free on June 1.
After several years of development, Liuzhou Military Museum Park has solidly promoted the infrastructure construction of the exhibition hall, enriched the exhibition contents, innovated the form of national defense education, displayed the achievements of Liuzhou's double support work, and become the main position for Liuzhou to carry out national defense education and patriotism education.
Development history
On the afternoon of May 31, 2011, Guangxi Liuzhou Military Museum officially opened. It is the only museum with military themes in Guangxi. It has become a national defense education base in Guangxi and a youth patriotism education base in Guangxi Province. It has been named a national defense education base by the PLA.
Collection
Liuzhou Military Museum Park is the largest military museum in Southwest China and the only military museum in Guangxi. It collected a lot of retired military equipment, such as "sea, land and air". On the river, there is a retired "Qingyuan" submarine from a base of the North Sea fleet. On the shore, there are heavy weapons, such as cannons, anti-aircraft guns, medium-sized tanks, armored vehicles, as well as educational equipment, presented by Guangzhou Military Region Five retired military aircraft, including training aircraft and bombers. The indoor exhibition hall of Liuzhou military museum is divided into Navy, air force, army and Second Artillery Corps, which shows the glorious years and mighty style of the PLA in three dimensions in the form of pictures, images and models.
