I. Introduction to mountain peak
Camel peak is located in Siguniang mountain area in the northeast of Hengduan Mountains, 230 kilometers away from Chengdu. It is a branch of Qionglai mountains, 5484 meters above sea level, facing Yaomei peak of Siguniang mountain. The mountain is mainly composed of hard granite. Due to weathering, the rocks are relatively broken. Camel peak has two peaks in the East and West, which are called East peak and West Peak in the industry. A glacier grows in the depression. Several glaciers extend to 4800 meters below the glacier tongue. The glacier is stable and fluctuates greatly. There are several sections of ice and snow slopes above 40 degrees on the climbing Road (south slope), which are in danger of flowing snow and small avalanches. To climb camel's peak from the south, you need to go through Changping gully of Siguniang mountain, and then rise to the base camp at an altitude of 4600 at the bottom of the gully. Its north side is in bipenggou. It is hard to climb because of its cliffs. Compared with the big peak and the second peak of Siguniang mountain, camel peak is a snow mountain in the true sense, with no snow melting all the year round and permanent glaciers. In the process of climbing, the terrain is complex, including rolling stones, steep slopes, edge ridges, glaciers and snow slopes
.
Camel's peak is located in Siguniang mountain area in the northeast of Hengduan Mountains, north of the famous Siguniang peak (Yaofeng, 6250 meters above sea level), at the end of Changping gully, north wall of camel's peak to bipenggou, facing yangmantai
.
Camel hump is mainly composed of granite, and its shape is similar to that of two humped camel. It's charming to see the peak before sunset. It lies on the top of the mountain, through wind and rain, stars and moon, cast into a steel like backbone. It's like welcoming tourists from all directions and looking forward to the distant future.
II. Climatic conditions
Siguniang mountain is located in the transition area from the mid subtropical monsoon climate to the continental plateau climate. Due to the plateau topography, the climate is cold in winter and cool in summer, dry all year round, and the rainfall is rare. The annual rainfall is 1100-1600 ml, and the rainfall is mainly concentrated in the rainy season (may). The natural vertical band spectrum of the mountain is very representative. And the temperature changes violently, the four seasons are not obvious, the daily temperature difference is large, sometimes more than 20c. The annual evaporation is 1500 mm, the frost free period is 220 days, the annual average temperature is 12.2 ° C, and the annual illumination is 2214 hours.
Siguniang mountain is a typical plateau climate. It is cool in the morning and evening, hot at noon, blue sky and white clouds, bright stars at night and fresh air. However, due to the high altitude, some people will have different mountain reactions.
