There is a volcanic eruption belt in Inner Mongolia: it starts from the nuominhe Volcanic Group on the east slope of the north section of the Great Xing'an Mountains in the north, passes through the Arshan Chaihe Volcanic Group and Xilinhot Abaga Volcanic Group in the Great Xing'an Mountains, and reaches the Ulan hada Volcanic Group in the right wing rear banner of Chahar in the south, stretching for nearly 1000 kilometers. Among them, the Ulan hada Volcanic Group was not known by the volcanic academia at home and abroad until 2012.
The most prominent feature of this volcanic belt is its youth: it entered the peak period of activity only in the late Pleistocene of Quaternary (about 120000 years ago). But in fact, most of the volcanoes in this volcanic belt erupted 40000-60000 years ago. In particular, some of the volcanoes erupted in the Holocene, that is, 10000 years ago, and even volcanoes erupted 2000 years ago have been found here.
