Wanfo Garden

Wanfo garden, namely Zunhua Wanfo garden scenic area development Co., Ltd., is a commercial cemetery approved by the Ministry of civil affairs and the State Administration of cultural relics. It is jointly built by Hong Kong Xuanwei group and Zunhua Ji'an garden cemetery company under Zunhua Civil Affairs Bureau, and wholly owned by Mr. Pu Jiang, chairman of Hong Kong Xuanwei group.

Wanfo garden, or Yanshan pagoda mausoleum, is the only garden style forest garden in China, which is located in the Fengshui wall of the Qing Dongling mausoleum in the world cultural heritage protection area. Its Fengshui and the Qing Dongling mausoleum come down in one continuous line. Because the building is located at the foot of Yanshan Mountain and has the nature of mausoleum, it is named Yanshan tower mausoleum. Later, ten thousand Buddha statues were built, also known as ten thousand Buddha garden. Combining 5000 years of Chinese traditional culture, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and modern garden art, it is a scenic spot integrating human landscape, tourism and learning.

Introduction to scenic spots

The scenic spot is a large-scale antique sightseeing garden which mainly displays the Buddhist culture. It is named "ten thousand Buddha garden" because there are ten thousand different Buddha statues in the garden.

More than 10 scenic spots with unique styles have been built in the scenic spot. Among them, the Jinbao pagoda has a construction area of more than 10000 square meters and a height of 7 stories. The ten thousand golden Buddhas worshipped in the pagoda consume 3000 liang of pure gold, and a living Buddha relic of the sixth Panchen is placed on the top of the pagoda. The third Buddha in the golden pagoda consumes 650 taels of pure gold and 4000 taels of silver. The third Buddha is 4.2 meters high and weighs 3.9 tons. The jade Guanyin is 1.4 meters high and weighs 1.6 tons. It is made of high-quality jade. In addition, some rare treasures, such as Buddha bone relic of Ananda, the second disciple of Sakyamuni donated by Mr. Xia Jingshan, decorate the park into a Buddhist temple.

The scenic spot receives 500000 tourists annually. After 20 years of construction, Wanfo garden, a large-scale cultural landscape integrating traditional Buddhist culture and modern garden art, has successfully passed the acceptance assessment organized by the National Tourism Administration, and successfully ranked among the national AAAA scenic spots in 2004. At present, tourist service center, hotel and a series of management system have been built in the scenic area. In June last year, the scenic spot passed ISO9001 international quality management system certification and ISO14001 environmental management system certification in 2004. In February 2013, wanfoyuan hotel was rated as a national "four-star" Hotel, becoming a leader in the same industry in China.

Guide to scenic spots

There are ten sceneries and nine treasures in Wanfo garden. Ten sceneries are: Xiaojing stele, Fengshui ball, Changsheng hall, zodiac, Jinshui bridge, Shanshi eight pagodas, release site, Jinbao pagoda, longfu Pavilion Tangshan Earthquake Memorial Hall, 29th army monument; nine treasures are: Xiaojing Yingbi Confucian treasure, living Buddha relic priceless treasure, Royal Fengshui auspicious treasure, Zodiac Zhouyi treasure, Buddha eight pagoda Zhenyuan treasure, Jinshen Great Buddha treasure Zhongbao, hall wood carving handed down Treasure, anti Japanese hero national treasure, the most treasure of the earthquake trump card. The giant plaque of "Yan Xiaojing" on the mountain gate is 16 meters long and 4.5 meters high. It is made of white marble and engraved with Confucius' Book of filial piety. On both sides of the stele, there is an ear stele engraved with green dragon and white tiger. There is a Fengshui ball in the Fengshui pool behind the Xiaojing tablet, which weighs 6 tons and turns with the help of water.

Hall of longevity

The hall of eternal life is dedicated to the 18 arm Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, weighing 2 tons. All of them are made of brass and molded with 100 liang of gold. There are also statues of Western Sansheng and Amitabha Buddha. There is a living Buddha relic of the sixth Panchen in the gilded relic tower in the center of the hall.

Stone statues of the Chinese Zodiac

On both sides of the sacred road in the garden are the largest stone statues of the Chinese zodiac animals in China. The stone statues are 2.7 meters high and weigh 4 tons. They were created by Mr. Zheng Yuhe, a famous sculptor in China. 　　

Golden pagoda

The golden pagoda is magnificent, which is not only the architectural style of the integration of Han and Tibetan, but also the architecture of the integration of pagoda and temple. The shape of tower base, tower body and Tasha contains the moral character of three religions in one. The third floor of the tower foundation is the three boundary platform, on which there are white marble railings. The lotus pillar overlaps layer upon layer, and the inner slope is upward. The tower is designed according to the pattern of the universe. The Tasha is composed of thirteen wheels and round light of the moon. It is for the living Buddha's relic. On both sides of the main tower are the bell and drum towers designed to imitate the top of the temple of heaven in Beijing. The large-scale stone carving "Bodhisattva comes to welcome" inlaid in the center is exquisitely carved, and the bronze statues of the four heavenly kings are exquisitely cast. The first floor of the golden pagoda is divided into three halls: the central hall, the East Hall and the West Hall. More than 30000 blessing seats are set up, and the Bodhisattva of the great wish is worshipped. There are three Buddhas in the center of the main hall, which is the sixth treasure of the Ten Thousand Buddhas garden. The three Buddhas, 4 meters high and 9 tons in weight, share 650 taels of gold, 4000 taels of silver and a small amount of brass, iron and tin from casting to shaping. The consumption of gold and silver is the highest in Asia. The seventh treasure is also located here. The wood carvings are made of excellent Thai oil wood, Burmese Phoebe and precious chicken wing wood, all of which are gilded and painted.

Longfu Pavilion

Longfuge, which imitates the style of Suzhou Hangzhou gardens, is a memorial hall built by Mr. Pu Jiang, chairman of Xuanwei group, for the 240000 souls killed in the Tangshan earthquake. The front hall is dedicated to "the third Buddha", and the back hall is dedicated to "the memorial tablets of 240000 victims of the Tangshan earthquake". At the same time, photos and materials about the earthquake are arranged around. Here we can comfort the dead and stimulate the spirit of building a home together.

Confucius statue

In addition to the base, the statue of Confucius on the east side of the Jade Buddha Hall is 4m high. The whole body is carved from Burmese white marble. Confucius statue hands in front of the chest, visual front, the Confucian image of Confucius portrayed vividly. Confucius is a model of all ages and a representative of Chinese traditional culture.

Western Paradise

Western Paradise: in the middle of the tower, there is a large white marble mural showing Buddhist art, which is 25 meters wide and 4 meters high. In the center of the mural are three Western saints: Amitabha Buddha in the middle, Guanyin Bodhisattva on the left and dashizhi Bodhisattva on the right. In the 100 square meter relief mural, there are 62 Bodhisattvas and immortals. They are holding auspicious magic weapons and going to the Western Paradise. They enlightened all living beings, Amitabha, made 48 great wishes, and then led all living beings in the nine Dharma realms to the paradise. It also shows the equality and solemnity of the Buddhist world with the method of phase. There are the main scenic spots of the ten thousand Buddha garden on the screen, and it also shows the beauty of the Western Paradise, which is the highest realm pursued by Buddhists.

Major honors

Located one kilometer to the west of Dingling mausoleum in the east of Qing Dynasty, Wanfo garden has beautiful scenery and pleasant scenery. It is a paradise where the souls of the deceased depend. People who have been here can see that today, from high-ranking officials to poor people, people have gradually "settled down" here. Although the entrance threshold of Wanfo garden is not high, it has a number of "unique in China".
