Historical evolution
In the 42nd year of Wanli, only hejiezi street was left in the ancient town, so it was called "jiezichang", and later it was called "jiezichang"
In the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, there were several ups and downs. Jiezi is famous for its unstable Qingshiban Road, ancient dwellings and Jiezi people who have lived here for a long time.
Jiezi has a history of more than one thousand years. It was named Hengqu town in the Five Dynasties because it was located on the Bank of Weijiang river.
After the Five Dynasties, Yongkang county was established in Shu, where the county government was located. Later, through the important historical events of successive dynasties, politics and economy rose and fell repeatedly. At the time of prosperity, the county was in charge of soil and water, but at the time of decline, there was only a small street.
In 1615, the 42nd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, there was only one street along the river.
Jiezichang was established in 1940 and became jiezixiang after the founding of the people's Republic of China.
Since 1991, the township has been built.
Jiezi ancient town was badly hit by the "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake. After more than two years of post disaster reconstruction, a national 4A scenic spot was successfully established on May 10, 2010.
