The park is densely forested, with many grotesque rock caves, gurgling streams, walking paths in all directions and many historic sites. Ciyun Pavilion (also known as Ciyun Temple) in the park was built in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, with a history of more than 300 years. The park is the place where the seven guerrilla martyrs of Dongjiang column died during the Anti Japanese war. In order to commemorate the martyrs' dedication to national liberation, their remains were buried on the spot, and "Hongtian seven martyrs' tomb" was built. In 2003, in order to carry forward the revolutionary tradition of the martyrs and deepen the construction of cultural environment, the relevant departments planned and constructed Hongtian volcano country park. Later, in order to commemorate more than 30 martyrs who died bravely during the Chinese people's war of resistance against Japan and the war of liberation, the "Shajing Revolutionary Martyrs Monument" was built in the park as a base for educating young people about revolutionary history and revolutionary tradition.

Monument of Shajing revolutionary martyrs
Shajing Revolutionary Martyrs Monument is located in the southeast of Hongtian Volcano Park, at the junction of Shajing and Fuyong streets. It was built in 2000 with an investment of more than 1 million yuan. It was originally located in Shajing Central Park, Xinsha road. In 2005, it was demolished because it "occupied the planned land of Shajing central area", and more than 3 million yuan was invested in the reconstruction of Hongtian volcano country park area. The new site is the place where the seven martyrs of the guerrillas of Dongjiang column died during the Anti Japanese war. There is a "Tomb of the seven martyrs in Hongtian", close to the volcano and Guanyin temple. The stele garden is located on the southeast side of Hongtian volcano on a hill nearly 100 meters high, leading to the stone steps on the top of the mountain. The stele garden on the top of the mountain is nearly 50 meters long and 50 meters wide, and there are 1.5 meters high stainless steel guardrails around.
