Yu Zhimo's tomb
It is located in the north of Lushan temple on the east side of Yuelu Mountain in Changsha City, Hunan Province, adjacent to the tombs of Chen Tianhua and Yao Hongye.

In October 1912, zishuangfeng was moved here. It covers an area of about 29 square meters. The tomb is in the shape of three steps, rectangular, flat top, 245 meters long, 1.45 meters wide and 0.8 meters high. The tombs and cemeteries are all paved with granite. There are three white jade steles in the Han Dynasty behind the tomb.
The main stele is engraved with six characters "Tomb of martyr Yu Zhimo", 1.47 meters high and 0.5 meters wide. The left and right attached steles are respectively engraved with the handwriting of Yu Zhimo's "letter to the compatriots" and the epitaph written by Zhu Qi and Yan Changyao, both of which are 1.27 meters high and 0.43 meters wide. In front of the tomb, there are stone cases, stone piers, worship platforms, guardrails and other facilities.
Yu Zhimo
Yu Zhimo (1867-1907) was born in Hunan Province.
In 1894, he joined the Sino Japanese war with the Hunan army. In 1900, he took part in the activities of self-supporting army, and went to Japan to study after failure. He returned to China in 1902, joined the Huaxing Association in Changsha in 1904, and served as the president of Hunan Branch of the alliance in 1905. In 1906, he took part in leading the movement of abolishing the Yue Han railway treaty and boycotting American goods. In the same year, he organized tens of thousands of people to welcome the coffins of Chen Tianhua and Yao Hongye, the martyrs of the democratic revolution, who were buried in Yuelu Mountain. He also agitated against increasing salt prices in Xiangxiang county. He was arrested by the Qing government in Changsha on August 10 and hanged outside the East Gate of Jingzhou on January 5, 1907.
In October 1912, he was moved here from qingshuping, Shuangfeng.
