Defining criteria

Wetland is known as the "kidney of the earth". It is also known as the three major ecosystems of the world, together with forests and oceans. Wetland Park refers to the natural or artificial, long-term or temporary, static or mobile water area, which does not exceed 6 meters at low tide. Wetland is not only rich in wildlife resources, but also a breeding and wintering place for many wildlife, especially for rare waterfowl. For a city, the biggest function of urban wetland is to purify the environment and balance the ecology.

Caiyun lake, Jiulongpo

Caiyun Lake Wetland Park is located in the central area of Erlang science and Technology City, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It is a national wetland park integrating ecological environment, flood control and disaster reduction, garden landscape, leisure and entertainment, and popular science education, with a total area of 1605 mu.

Yinglong lake, Nan'an District

Yinglong Lake National Wetland Park is located in Wutang village, Yinglong Town, Nan'an District, Chongqing city. It is a reservoir wetland plant landscape. It is a country wetland park integrating biological species resources protection, wetland scientific research and popular science education, wetland recreation and sightseeing.

Huanghua Island, Zhongxian County

Huanghua Island National Wetland Park is located in the Three Gorges Reservoir area of Zhongxian County, Chongqing. It is composed of Huanghua Island, Zhongxi River and Ganjing River, with a total area of about 14 square kilometers. There are cycads, Ginkgo biloba, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, golden buckwheat and other wetland aquatic plants in the park, as well as Chinese sturgeon, Acipenser dahliae, Myxocyprinus asiaticus, common buzzard, peregrine falcon and red bellied Caragana. After the impoundment of the Three Gorges reservoir, it has become a wintering paradise for birds.

Dachang Lake in Wushan

Dachang Lake National Wetland Park is located in Dachang Town, Wushan County, Chongqing city. Dachang lake is a large lake formed in the reservoir area after the impoundment of the Three Gorges Project. It has unique scenery and is adjacent to Dachang ancient town. The park scenery and ancient town culture blend together. You can feel the secluded ancient town of Gaoxia Pinghu here.

Tongnan Fujiang

Fujiang National Wetland Park is located in Tongnan County, Chongqing City, with Jinfo bridge in the West and biekou Township in the East. It is bounded by the extension of the annual water level of Fujiang River 100 meters in the north and south. The wetland park is an open park with land and water entertainment as its main features, and a green landscape belt will be built within 50 meters along the 130 km long Fujiang River and Qiongjiang river. In the landscape belt, high-end agritainment and other sightseeing and leisure agriculture will be arranged.

Bishan Yunwu Mountain

Yunwu Mountain National Wetland Park is located in Dalu town and QITANG Town, Bishan District, Chongqing, covering an area of 94 square kilometers. The park will build Qinglong Lake Park, China health care Park, Fenghu Xianshan wetland ecological world, etc. It will form a mountain wetland ecological leisure tourism base with lake, wetland and mountain areas around the lake as its characteristics, ecological tourism and leisure as its core, and Water Conservancy Scenic spots, forest parks, agricultural wetland tourism, paddy wetland experience, and wetland ecological farm leisure vacation as its main.

Laixi River in Rongchang

Laixi River National Wetland Park is located in Rongchang District, Chongqing city. The water in the park is clear, and the two banks are lush with beautiful scenery. Rongchang County plans to build a wetland eco-tourism park integrating Wetland Park, modern agriculture and flower and seedling base in Laixi river. It echoes with Wanling ancient town in Rongchang, providing tourists with a hydrophilic ancient town tour.

Youyang Youshui River

Youshui River National Wetland Park is located at the junction of Youjiao wharf, Youyang and Xiushan. On the ten mile long pool, egrets hover low on the water surface, blue sky, white clouds and green hills form beautiful reflections on the water surface, with lush forests and bamboo everywhere. The unique style of Tujia stilted buildings and Tujia ethnic customs built close to the mountains will let you linger back and forth.

Qianjiang and Apengjiang

Located in Qianjiang and Youyang of Chongqing, Apengjiang National Wetland Park is a typical river wetland in Southwest China. There are rare animals and plants such as giant salamander and Otter in the wetland, as well as the unique Chinese plant "Chinese mosquito mother community". There are also eight natural features in the Wetland Park, including original Xiajiang River, hot spring, karst cave, geyser, Tianshengqiao, underground river and hanging coffin.

Fengdu Longhe

Longhe National Wetland Park is located in the east of Fengdu County, Chongqing City, including Longhe River, the first tributary of the Yangtze River and its surrounding wetlands in Fengdu County, Longhe River in the middle of the main stream of the Yangtze River, and Shanba in the north of the Yangtze River It will become an important ecological protection education base in Wuling mountain area and Three Gorges Reservoir area.

Hanfeng lake, Kaizhou

Hanfeng Lake National Wetland Park is located in Kaizhou District, Chongqing. After the completion of the Three Gorges project, an inland lake "Hanfeng Lake" with a water surface of 14.8 square kilometers has been formed around the new town of Kaizhou district.
