history
Luo Cuisheng, a Buddhist who was influenced by his ancestors, was visiting Buddhism in 1978 when he overheard that the site of the old temple was under the second Pavilion, and there was "fairy water" on the mountain wall. He encouraged the believers Luo Cuixiang, Xiang Shulan, Ouyang Shuiying and Ke Jine to visit. So a few people set up a straw shed, brought their own food, and studied together, rain or shine. In 1978, several people raised money to build the "three Buddhas hall" and named it "Nanyun Temple". Because they did not receive incense, did not ask for support, and the conditions were limited, they only used clay to make a Guanyin, and painted "three saints of the west" on the wall. They confessed that they were self-cultivation and did not do Buddhism for others.
Later, with the opening of many places for religious activities, at the request of the local people and many believers, Luo Cuisheng and others repeatedly invited monks and nuns to the famous mountains of the Buddhist holy land, and gradually did some Buddhist activities and set up the Taoist temples, which made the incense boom for a time. He went to Duchang four times to pick up Bodhisattvas and set up Guanyin hall, dizang hall and other temples. After striving for the registration of religious departments in 1996, the monks did well in Zhaitang and Liaofang, and religious activities became more frequent and normal.
On September 26, 1998, Luo Cuisheng and other members of the management team invited Shi Guoxiang, the current abbot, to the body Hall of Jiuhua Mountain. Because Guoxiang's master is honest and upright, he is modest, and all the residents are also devout in protecting the Dharma, Nanyun temple is well-known and well-established. It is preparing to build a great hall.
