Brief introduction of Xinfeng mangrove

Xinfeng mangrove is located near the estuary of Hongmao River in Xinfeng Township, Hsinchu County. Xinfeng mangrove covers an area of 8.5 hectares. It is a mangrove with water brush and sea eggplant in Northern Taiwan. It is also the only ecological protection area with an ornamental trail in Taiwan.

Intertidal organisms in mangroves

The other crabs that inhabit on both sides of Hongmao River are vivacious big eye crabs, Taiwan thick crabs, hand crabs with folded marks, sand crabs of steinstein's family, and guchuang crabs. "Mudskipper" is mangrove The more special animals in the forest belong to the family tigrinidae. They can adapt to the intertidal environment of swamp, semi water and semi land, and breathe by virtue of moist skin and water in gill chamber. The habit of "huatiao" is similar to that of mudskipper, but it is larger than mudskipper. However, due to its poor adaptability and mobility, it can only move in mudflats and can not go ashore. Historical evolution

The origin of the ancient name of hongmaogang in Xinfeng township can be traced back to the records of Xinzhu county annals. Historical heritage
