Chongqing Jiahua Jialing River Bridge project is a gift project for the 10th anniversary of Chongqing municipality directly under the central government. The construction of Jiahua bridge started on December 29, 2004;

Jiahua bridge starts from beiqiaotou overpass in the north, crosses Jialing River Waterway in the upper and Huacun overpass in the south. The total length of the line is 4.35 km, and the main bridge is 528 M. the bridge deck is a two-way eight Lane urban expressway with a design speed of 80 km / h.
Construction process

On December 31, 2006, the concrete pouring of No. 0 abutment of Jiahua bridge was completed.
On April 7, 2007, the closure of the main span of Jiahua bridge was completed, and the whole bridge was connected;

Jiahua bridge is located in the central part of Chongqing City, China. It is about 4.8km away from Shimen Bridge on Jialing River in the West and 2.3km away from yu'ao bridge in the East. It starts from beiqiaotou interchange in the north, crosses Jialing River Waterway in the upper and Huacun interchange in the south. The bridge connects Binjiang 1st Road and Xingzhu road via beiqiaotou interchange in the north and hutouyan tunnel, Jiahua tunnel and Jialing River riverside road via Nanhua village interchange in the south. The route of the bridge is Jiahong Avenue.

Jiahua bridge is a prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame bridge, the upper structure is a variable cross-section single box single room, vertical web; the box girder adopts three-way prestressed system, C55 concrete, with vent holes on the web; the longitudinal and transverse prestressed steel tendons adopt high-strength and low relaxation cable, the longitudinal prestressed anchorage adopts group anchor system, the transverse tendon adopts flat anchor, and the prestressed pipe adopts PE corrugated pipe; the longitudinal and transverse prestressed steel tendons adopt high-strength and low relaxation cable The prestressed tendons are arranged in the way of combining horizontal and vertical bending. The transverse prestressed tendons are arranged on the upper edge of the roof and tensioned at both ends. The vertical prestressed reinforcement is made of finish rolled rebar and high strength and low relaxation steel strand, which is arranged in a straight line on the web, with double row arrangement, embedded at the lower end and tensioned at the upper end. The piers of the main bridge are made of thin-walled single pier and C50 concrete. The upstream and downstream water diversion points are set to form a whole with the piers. The drainage holes are set around the pier body, and the diaphragm is set inside, and the arc chamfer is set at the bottom of the pier. The side pier is made of C40 concrete, which is a single thin-walled pier, and the diaphragm is set inside the pier body.

Jiahua bridge is 4.35km long, 528m long, 252m long and 35.6m wide, 17.8m wide at the top of single box, 9.8m wide at the bottom and 4m long at the flange; box girder is less than 15.5m high, 1 / 16.3m of the main span, 5m high in the middle and 1 / 50 of the main span. The thickness of roof chamber is 30cm, the back of cantilever end is 20cm, and the root is 55cm. The main pier is 7.0m wide along the bridge and 9.8m wide across the bridge, with wall thickness of 80cm and 100cm respectively; the side pier is 3.5m wide along the bridge and 9.8m wide across the bridge, with wall thickness of 50cm and 60cm respectively.

Fare system
On January 1, 2018, Chongqing Municipal People's government cancelled the collection of road and bridge tolls in the main urban area, including Jiahua bridge.
Traffic matters
From August 13 to 14, 2015, Jiahua bridge was inspected and all vehicles were forbidden to pass.
On October 17, 2018, Jiahua bridge cancelled the traffic restriction measures.

The key technologies of Jiahua bridge are as follows:
1. The main bridge pier adopts the thin-walled box type single pier which is rare in the similar bridges in China. At the same time, water diversion points (anti-collision and diversion structures) are set on both sides of the pier to form a whole with the pier. It not only innovates in the shape, but also improves the anti-collision level of the pier.
2. In order to overcome the problems of structural cracks and beam deflection of similar bridges in China, various countermeasures are adopted in design theory, technical measures and construction methods
① The durability design of high performance concrete puts forward scientific and systematic requirements for various parameters. During the construction, the concrete automatic spray curing system is adopted to ensure the high performance of concrete.
② According to the mechanical characteristics of long-span continuous rigid frame, the structural optimization is carried out to improve the structural performance.
③ In order to deal with the possible unforeseen deflection and other phenomena, the external prestressing system is reserved in the box girder.
④ Strict construction management, strict construction monitoring, through parameter sensitivity analysis technology, reasonable pre camber setting, identification and correction of key parameters, dry top to top before closure and other measures to ensure that the finished bridge alignment and internal force state meet the design requirements. The average closure accuracy of the whole bridge is 4 mm (6 mm upstream and 2 mm downstream).
⑤ The hanging basket technology is optimized, and the force transmission, anchoring, walking and other systems of the hanging basket are improved to minimize the impact of temporary construction load on the permanent structure.
