Wanlvyuan

Wanlvyuan is located in the reclamation area on the north side of Binhai Avenue in Haikou City, adjacent to Haikou gymnasium in the East, Binhai Avenue in the South and Qiongzhou Strait in the north. It is the largest, open and tropical coastal ecological forest landscape park in Haikou City. Wanlvyuan is the largest large-scale park in Haikou, which integrates plant tourism and morning exercise. People come and go to Wanlvyuan every day. Practicing in the morning and taking a walk in the evening are essential lessons for many Haikou citizens. You can also come to Wanlvyuan sooner or later to be a native of Haikou.

Wanlvyuan

Wanlvyuan is located in the east of Longhua District, Haikou City, Hainan Province, in the middle of Binhai Avenue, with a total area of 1070 mu. Wanlvyuan is unique in tropical seaside features and ecological landscape features. It integrates blue sky, green water, fields and modern high-rise buildings. It is dominated by tropical ornamental plants in Hainan. It also plants tropical and subtropical ornamental plants at home and abroad, fully reflecting the characteristics of tropical scenery, seaside features and international tourist attractions.

Wanlvyuan is divided into 16 scenic spots and many scenic spots. The landscape is changeable and the content is rich. The 16 scenic spots are gate area, square area, Inner Lake area, children's recreation area, lawn area, bamboo forest area, tropical ornamental plant area, golf driving range, etc.

Park scale

With a total area of 1070 mu, Wanlvyuan is the largest open tropical seaside ecological garden landscape in Haikou City, and also a good place for tourists and Haikou citizens to have leisure and sports. Nearly ten thousand tropical and south subtropical ornamental plants, mainly coconut trees, are planted in the garden, presenting a tropical landscape. Wanlvyuan has a tree planting area for leaders and VIPs, a tree planting area for social groups and a tree planting area for individual citizens. Wandering in the green garden, with blue sky and white clouds, green grass and sparkling blue sea, visitors can enjoy a corner of silence in the hustle and bustle of the city, experience the harmonious blend of human and nature, and have a good mood.

Characteristics of the park

Wanlvyuan is a large-scale comprehensive, garden style tropical coastal ecological landscape park, located in the east of Haikou coastal reclamation area, in the middle of Binhai Avenue. It faces the financial and trade zone across Binhai Avenue in the south, Qiongzhou Bay in the north, Haikou gymnasium in the East, high-grade commercial and residential area and the Great Hall of Municipal People's Congress and CPPCC in the West. The park was officially opened on January 3, 1996 .

Construction process

Phase I Project

The first phase project of the park invested more than 30 million yuan, of which about one third were donated by the masses. The overall planning of Wanlvyuan highlights the characteristics of tropical seashore and ecological landscape architecture, with a total area of 1234 mu (including the water surface of the inner lake). The construction is divided into two phases. The first phase is the greening project, which started from November 1994 to April 1995. The greening rate is more than 84%. 900000 cubic meters of planting soil is backfilled, nearly 10000 tropical trees mainly coconut trees are planted, and 600000 square meters of lawn are paved to protect the environment Bounded by the four bridges, the eastern part of the garden is dominated by trees and shrubs, and 300-500 tropical and subtropical ornamental plants are planted. The western part of the garden is dominated by various lawns, and various herbaceous plants adapted to Hainan's climatic conditions are planted, showing a broad tropical landscape.

second-phase project

The second phase is the key construction project of garden landscape, including the construction of 16 scenic spots, hundreds of scenic spots and supporting facilities, which takes 3-5 years. Among them, pavilions, corridors, pavilions, pavilions and other recreational buildings account for 2.6% of the land area of the park, which is not only a scenic spot, but also a scenic spot to be watched.

In this thousand mu of golden land, the natural environment and cultural landscape complement each other, the sea as the foreground, the skyscrapers as the backing, the blue sky, green water, green mountains and white houses as a whole, the small bridges and flowing water, music waterfalls, rockery and famous stones, and the winding paths and pavilions form a fairyland on earth. It is the first time to replace the deck plastic carpet since 2006

Workers are laying plastic carpets on the Longzhu bridge connecting Wanlvyuan and Century Park in Haikou. For the first time since the completion of Haikou Longzhu bridge in 2006, the deck plastic carpet has been completely replaced. The bridge is X-shaped bifurcated steel box girder bridge structure, beautiful shape, is a good place for citizens to enjoy the sea view. Wanlvyuan will be a green historical monument for the benefit of future generations.

2) No.3, no.6, No.9, No.17, No.18, No.22, No.31, No.32, No.37, No.39, No.44 tourist buses such as line a and B all arrive, and the ticket price is 1-2 yuan.

3) From Hainan University, take bus No.57, 23, 54 to the destination in 5 minutes.
