Zhuang Hui Tang
Zhuang regret hall is one of the scenic spots of Shangqiu ancient city. It is recorded that Hou Fangyu, a romantic genius, and Li Xiangjun, a famous Qinhuai acrobat, met each other in the stormy Jinling City. They fell in love at first sight and fell in love with each other. Soon Hou Fangyu accepted Li Xiangjun as his concubine. Originally, it was a perfect love made in heaven, but because Li Xiangjun's identity was not tolerated by the Hou family, he was driven to live outside the city and eventually died of hatred. Heartbroken, Hou Fangyu recalled his life experience and lamented that he had many regrets. So he renamed his study "the hall of great regret". Soon he was depressed and died. He wrote a sad ending for the famous Chinese classical drama peach blossom fan.
Development history
Influenced by the education and influence of his predecessors, Hou Fangyu took part in the restoration of the society, a progressive patriotic organization, and launched a positive struggle with Wei Zhongxian's remaining party. Li Xiangjun, a famous prostitute in Qinhuai, fell in love with Hou Fangyu and supported him to expose and attack the castration party. The love story between Hou Fangyu and Li Xiangjun was made into a famous play Peach Blossom Fan by Kong Shangren, a dramatist in the Qing Dynasty. Besides being staged by many kinds of dramas, it was also put on the screen and made a great impact, becoming a monument in the history of Chinese drama. After the fall of the Ming Dynasty, Hou Fangcheng, 35, returned to his hometown of guide. Recalling his frustrations and failure in his career, he was very regretful and vowed not to be an official all his life. He built the Zhuang regret hall and devoted himself to the study of knowledge and the creation of poetry. Here, he completed his two anthologies. When he was 37 years old, he fell ill and died because of grief and indignation over state affairs and missing Xiang Jun.
In July 2005, the Suiyang district government invested in the production of three groups of 12 wax statues, including Hou Fangyu, Mrs. Chang and Xiangjun Fuqin, all life size and lifelike.
