Guangqi Park faces south with an area of 13200 square meters. Guangqi park is a memorial park. It was originally the cemetery of Xu Guangqi, a famous patriotic scientist in the late Ming Dynasty. Development history
Guangqi Park, formerly known as Nandan Park, was built in 1641 of the Ming Dynasty. In 1983, it was renamed for commemorating the 350th anniversary of Xu Guangqi's death. The main building in the park is Xu Guangqi's tomb. In 2003, nanchunhua hall, the oldest existing residential building in Shanghai, was relocated for rescue protection, and was opened as Xu Guangqi Memorial Hall.

Tomb of Xu Guangqi
Located in the north of the park, the tomb is oval, 2.2 meters high, surrounded by granite inlay, with green grass on the top. In front of the tomb, Cinnamomum camphora, juniper, Cedrus deodarum and oleander are planted, and in the back of the tomb, Metasequoia glyptostroboides stand. In front of the tomb stands a five character tombstone engraved with Su Buqing's inscription "Tomb of Xu Guangqi of Ming Dynasty". There are stone benches on both sides and a stone horse of Qing Dynasty on the right.
Xu Guangqi
About 15 meters in front of the tomb, half body, granite, 1.2 meters high, 1.6 meters high base. The statue is dressed in a Ming Dynasty court dress with crane ornaments on its chest and a solemn face.
Two new sculptures of Xu Guangqi have been added to the park. In the park, one of the sculptures named "trial planting of mulberry garden" tells us that a child is watching the crops on the ground in the field, while the old man is discussing something with Xu Guangqi, who is dressed in casual clothes. Xu Guangqi is holding the sweet potato in his hand, with a peaceful look. The whole work is full of tranquil and peaceful charm, reflecting this The achievements of a patriotic scientist in agriculture at the end of Ming Dynasty. The other one is located in the deep part of the park, which is full of strong charm. Xu Guangqi, dressed in official clothes, stands beside the cannon, and together with a foreigner, seems to be looking at the war in the distance. According to reports, this sculpture is mainly based on the scene that he supervised the construction of "red cannon" when he was guarding the capital in 1629. Both sculptures were created by Yang Dongbai, a sculptor of Shanghai oil painting and Sculpture Institute.
There are two sculptures of Xu Guangqi in Guangqi Park, which are "watching stars at night" and "talking about Xu Li".
Xu Guangqi Memorial
Because Xu Guangqi's descendants propagated here, it was originally named xujiaku. Because Zhaojiabang and lizongjing rivers converged, it was named Xujiahui. Xuhui District came from Xujiahui.

On the left side of the tomb, the corridor is 12 meters long. In the corridor, there are five pieces of Steles written by Xu Guangqi, such as "preface to the original geometry" and "preface to the proof of PA Jing Di". The stone is 0.9 meters long and 0.3 meters wide, with 6 pieces and 1216 characters in total. The steles are inlaid in the gallery wall. On the back is the biography of Xu Guangqi written by cha jizuo in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty and the portrait of Xu copied by Cheng Shifa.
Umbrella Pavilion group
There is a winding stream in the west of the park, along which there are five mushroom shaped single column flat topped pavilions with reinforced concrete structure. The five pavilions are different in size, height and overlap.
Lotus Pond
In the southwest of the park, it is oval, water lilies are planted all over the pool, and two big red porcelain carp spray water and spit beads in the pool. On the Bank of the pond, there are plants such as Yingchun, Huangxin, huanghuangjintiao, etc.
Waterside Pavilion
Located in the west of the pool, it looks like two connected hexagonal flat top pavilions with reinforced concrete structure. The front half of the Pavilion extends into the pool like a stone boat, which is the best place to watch fish and flowers.
