Hangzhou senior high school is the earliest public middle school in Zhejiang Province. It has a history of more than 100 years since its establishment. Zhejiang provincial No.1 Middle School
In 1899 (the 25th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), educator Lin Qi founded the predecessor of Hangzhou high school in Zhejiang Province - "YangZheng Shushu school", which is located in Yuantong Temple of zhidafang in Hangzhou.
In 1901 (the 27th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), the government of the Qing Dynasty issued the imperial edict of promoting learning, which ordered all provinces to change the academies into schools, and YangZheng Shushu school was renamed Hangzhou Fuzhong school.
In 1911 (the third year of Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty), Hangzhou Fu middle school was renamed the first middle school of Zhejiang Province.
In 1913 (the second year of the Republic of China), Zhejiang No.1 middle school was renamed Zhejiang No.1 middle school.
Zhejiang provincial first normal school
In May 1906 (the 32nd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), Zhang Zengfeng, governor of Zhejiang Province, rebuilt the official two-level normal school in Zhejiang Province from the former site of Hangzhou Gongyuan in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
In the spring of 1908 (the 34th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), the school was completed and started in April. There were four courses, namely the selective course of superior normal school, the simple course of Junior Normal School and the specialized course of gymnastics.
In 1912 (the first year of the Republic of China), the school was renamed school. The excellent Department of Zhejiang two-level normal school was suspended, and its public science students were incorporated into Beijing Higher Normal School, leaving the junior department to continue to handle.
In May 1913, the Zhejiang Provincial Council passed the resolution on the establishment of provincial normal schools, which changed the primary Department of two-level normal schools into the first normal school of Zhejiang Province.
