Maoer Mountain
The highest mountain in Linjiang city of Jilin Province is called Maoer Mountain. Because of its two peaks, which are distributed in the shape of cat's ears, it is named Maoer Mountain. There is also a Maoer Mountain in the middle of Fangshan District, which is an important coal producing area in Beijing.
brief introduction
Maoer Mountain is located in the middle of Fangshan District, about 11 kilometers southeast of Fangshan city. At an altitude of 1307 meters, it is one of the main peaks of the western mountain. The mountain is steep and extends to the northeast. There are two peaks at the top, which are like cat's ears. Large granodiorite intrusions of late Yanshanian period are exposed in the eastern foot of the mountain. There are Paleozoic Cambrian and Ordovician limestone in the south side of Dashi in the north foot, which is the concentrated development area of underground karst caves. Permian and Paolo coal bearing strata are exposed in the surrounding foothills, which are important coal producing areas in Beijing. According to the general history of Beijing, the top of teahouse is now Maoer Mountain. "Fangshan county annals" records: "the top of the teahouse in the west of the county 20 Li, there is Jin Zhangzong Xie balcony." In fact, on the top of the teahouse, there are not only xieliang terrace, but also Lingfeng temple, Chongsheng palace and Baiyun Pavilion. In the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, the top of teahouse was a famous mountain in the capital. Now it seems that there is no trace of it. Maoer Mountain is the midpoint of the three mountains. One of the lower ridges extends from the right side (southeast) of Changgouyu gully. The section near the Northeast ridge is steeper. The nameless peak on the northwest ridge is about 30 meters higher than Maoer Mountain. In the southeast of the southeast ridge, there are many cliffs, ice falls and landslides. The northwest ridge is the main ridge. There is a small pine forest in the middle, not far from it. On the south side, there are two stone statues carved on the rocks of the ridge: one is gentle and the other is martial. The whole body is sitting, slightly damaged, half meter square. However, it is not known which dynasty the stone statues belong to. Baiyun Pavilion is said to have been built here. However, except for stone statues and a small piece of flat land, no remains of Baiyun Pavilion can be seen. There are two lines of stone inscriptions on the stone wall next to the Wenwu stone statue, which records that in the first year of the Apocalypse of the Ming Dynasty, the original monk asked the stonecutter Li Jian to build a stone statue of the earth master here, but the stone statue of the earth master has disappeared
trace. At the top of the peak, there is a chess board carved on a huge stone, and a headless stone figure on the other side of the stone wall. The mountain is steep and extends to the northeast. There are two peaks at the top, which look like cat's ears. The cat's ears mountain is higher than the surrounding mountains. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can see the surrounding mountains undulating, mountains overlapping, ravines crisscrossing, villages dotted in the distance, which is a magnificent scenery.
No matter from the bottom of the mountain or from the top of the mountain, Maoer Mountain has only two tips. But if you look down from the top of the mountain, you will see three ridges extending from the top to the northeast, northwest and Southeast. Lu Yu, the tea sage of the Tang Dynasty, once invented a kind of "wind stove" specially used for making tea. It looks like an ancient tripod with two ears and a flat belly pan. Isn't it just the shape of Maoer Mountain? Originally, two ears (that is, two peaks) are the same characteristics of tea stove top and Maoer Mountain. Today, Maoer Mountain is the top of ancient tea house (stove)!
