The first church was held on Easter on April 4, 2010, and the sacrificial ceremony was held on May 28. The main body of the church adopts Gothic architectural style, with a total construction area of 5619 square meters, which is divided into three parts: the main church, the clergyman's building and the bell tower. The second floor of the main hall can accommodate 1000 people, and the first floor has four small auditoriums, each of which can accommodate more than 200 people.

In order to meet the needs of Christian believers at home and abroad to live a religious life, in 2007, the Religious Work Department of Suzhou City reported to the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of religion the request for the construction of a church by Dushu Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park, which was immediately approved by the Provincial Bureau of religion. In June 2008, the foundation laying ceremony of the church was held by the beautiful Dushu Lake. In May 2010, in the continuous drizzle, Suzhou Dushu Lake Christian Church ushered in its inauguration ceremony. Among the sacred Choir songs, the Dushu Lake Christian Church in Suzhou Industrial Park was officially completed and put into use. More than 1000 Christian believers at home and abroad witnessed this moment.

From foundation to completion, the project took only one and a half years. The construction of Dushu Lake Christian Church embodies the wisdom of many people and the blessing of many believers!

Dushu Lake Christian Church is located in the southeast of Suzhou Industrial Park, surrounded by the west side of egret Park and the East Bank of Dushu Lake. Walking slowly from the distance to the front of the church, the beautiful scenery on the way makes people linger. The church is surrounded by trees. From a distance, it looks majestic and magnificent.

Dushu Lake Christian Church covers an area of about 5000 square meters, with a total construction area of 5619 square meters. It is a typical Gothic building, including the main church, the chaplain building and the bell tower. The whole building is divided into North and south sides with the square as the dividing line. The north side is the main church and bell tower. The main church faces south and has three floors.

The main hall is on the second floor and can accommodate more than 1000 people. The main hall adopts the high, straight, standard Roman Ionic style and beam columns on the upper half of the facade, which fully reflects the high, straight, sharp and fine decorative effect of the cathedral, supplemented by indirect lighting, intelligent light control and other lighting means, to set off the rich decorative outline of the interior, reflect the mysterious atmosphere of religious buildings, and highlight the spiritual sustenance in the process of religious etiquette. The windows of the main hall are designed in the style of classical paintings, showing the stories in the Bible in stained glass paintings on both sides. The third floor of the main church is the viewing tower. The colorful glass is painted with symbols and patterns with Christian characteristics. The gorgeous picture interprets the cultural elements of Christianity.

There are four small auditoriums on the first floor of the main church, each of which can accommodate more than 200 people. According to their different uses, designers integrate Chinese culture, Korean elements and European and American sentiment. The Chinese and Chinese chapel is decorated with local traditional wooden lattice and "ten" character, which fully embodies the religious spirit and local traditional culture. Korean chapels are decorated with the colors and symbols of Korean national flag to express their national characteristics. English chapel takes "the last supper" as the background pattern and modern mosaic as the decoration material, which not only embodies the characteristics of western culture, but also highlights the spirit of the times of modern church. In order to facilitate the disabled to enter the church, a special elevator for the disabled is set up on the first floor to contact the upper and lower floors. The painted glass of the East and West windows on the first floor, referring to the theme of the new and Old Testament stories on the second floor, is just a change of painting style. It adopts the style of the famous Christian painter Dr. He Qi's works, with Chinese cultural characteristics in the abstract, which clearly shows the characteristics of the localization of Christianity.

The bell tower on the west side of the main church is 51 meters high and the Cross stands high. There are five bronze bells in different sizes in the bell tower. On the front of the bell, there are scriptures carved in Chinese, English and Hebrew: "his quantity is spread all over the world, and his language reaches the ends of the earth"; on the back, there are church signs. The bronze bell can play Westminster music, and it can also give the time in harmony. When you climb the bell tower, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Dushu Lake and the magnificent appearance of Dushu Lake High diocese. The painted glass in the window of the clock tower reflects the change of color all the year round. When people are in it and the sun shines, the clock tower will show a colorful world of light and shadow.

On the south side of the building is the pastor's building, with a hearing room, a file room, a reception room and an office. The painted glass patterns on the windows of the priesthood involve some plants in the Bible, which not only makes the audience understand the Bible culture, but also increases their understanding of natural science.

In Dushu Lake on the west side of the church stands a cross 6.6 meters high and 3.15 meters wide. The light at night and the reflection in the water form a beautiful picture.

Dushu Lake Christian Church combines religious doctrines with artistic elements, enhances the influence of religious doctrines with the appeal of religious art, and highlights the aesthetic value of the whole church. In the 7th China International Interior Design Biennale in 2009, the interior decoration design of Dushu Lake Christian Church in Suzhou won the gold medal.
