Baliwan National Forest Park is a national forest park officially approved by the State Forestry Bureau, which belongs to Weihe Forestry Bureau of Heilongjiang Province. Eight kilometers away from the forestry bureau, adjacent to 301 National Highway and binsui railway, convenient transportation and developed communication. The forest park covers a total area of 41000 hectares, which is divided into six parts: Baliwan scenic area, Shuangfengshan scenic area, Jiguanshan primeval forest, hutiaoya scenic area, yew scenic area and guokuishan scenic area. The forest park is equipped with high-end service facilities such as hotels and restaurants, which can provide high-quality accommodation and catering services for tourists. Heilongjiang Baliwan National Forest Park is located in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province and the West foot of zhangguangcai mountain. It is located in Weihe Town, Shangzhi City, Harbin City, 180 km away from Harbin City, adjacent to Yabuli Skiing resort. The daily extreme minimum temperature is - 41.0 ℃, the daily extreme maximum temperature is 35.4 ℃, and the annual average temperature is 2.5 ℃. The annual precipitation is 652.2 mm. The precipitation in crop growing season reaches 577.3 mm, accounting for 87% of the annual precipitation. The precipitation is concentrated in July and August, less from December to March, and the least in January, only about 4-5 mm. Rain and heat in the same season, is conducive to crop growth. The annual sunshine hours are 2450-2600 hours. There are more than 50 kinds of valuable wild Chinese herbal medicines such as ginseng, Schisandra chinensis and acanthopanax senticosus in the deep mountains and dense forests; more than 30 kinds of wild vegetables such as Yuanmo, cinenya, Pteridium and Osmunda; 15 kinds of wild fruits such as kiwifruit and Vitis amurensis.

Animal resources

In 2012, there were more than 680 species of wild animals in the park, including tiger, deer, bear, fox, wild boar, roe deer, flying dragon, wild duck, mountain pheasant and other rare animals and birds; aquatic animals were lepidopterus, Cladocera, zheiluo fish and so on; amphibians and reptiles were Hynobius davidianus, Oriental bell toad, Heilongjiang forest frog, Chinese forest frog and so on.

Guokui mountain scenic spot

The shape of the mountain is like an iron pot which is turned upside down to guokuishan, and four hills with similar shape are evenly distributed around it. Local herdsmen call this mountain "taogaowula", which means Guokui mountain.

According to local herdsmen's legend, there is a spring at the bottom of Guokui mountain. The spring water is very sweet. Genghis Khan had eight BMWs to drink every day. Later, no matter where Genghis Kai went, these BMWs came back to drink the spring water. Once Genghis Khan went to fight far away, these BMWs went to drink the spring water again, which delayed the fight. Development and construction

Baliwan Forest Park was formerly state-owned Yulin forest farm, Chonghe forest farm, Qingshan forest farm, Dongfeng forest farm, Pinglin forest farm, Xiping forest farm and Xing'an forest farm;

In 2000, Weihe Forestry Bureau developed and constructed Baliwan forest park;

In November 2001, it was officially approved as a national forest park by the Ministry of forestry.
