Fuxing Lane
Fuxing lane is located behind the first people's Hospital of Guiyang city. It used to reach Boai road in the East, then turn west and North into two exits to meet Dusi West Road. It is about 340 meters long and 1.7 meters wide with stone pavement. In 1982, it was renovated to cement pavement, and the East Lane was widened to 5M near Boai Road, enabling vehicles to enter and leave.
brief introduction
According to annals of Nanming District and annals of Nanming District streets, since the Yuan City of Jianshun in Guiyang in Yuan Dynasty, most of the political power institutions of past dynasties have been located in the present Nanming District. The site of xuanweisidu Marshal's house, Guizhou Wei commanding department in Ming Dynasty, Guizhou Du commanding department, and Qinggui County building office in bafanshunyuan of Yuan Dynasty are all on the present Dusi West Road. Because many government offices are located here, the area of today's Bo'ai road and Fuxing lane has become a place for military officers to raise horses and practice riding, so people call it the big manger. On the other hand, the upper part of Fuxing Lane used to be a market for jewelry and jade in Guiyang in Qing Dynasty, also known as Zhushi Lane (Zhusi Lane).
Historical evolution
During the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty, because of the "Guiyang missionary case" (also known as Qingyan and Kaizhou missionary case), the French Minister in China threatened, forcing the Qing government to dismiss Tian Xingshu, the governor of Guizhou, and distribute him to Xinjiang, and compensate 12000 taels of silver. In addition, he compensated Hu Jieli, a French missionary in Guizhou, for "filling the church". In 1866, Tian Xingshu's official residence was converted into a Catholic church by the church. Due to its correspondence with the North Catholic Church of Heping Road, it is called Nantian Catholic Church, or Nantang for short. In 1926, the Guizhou provincial government named the street in front of Nantian cathedral as Nantang street. In 1911, the revolution of 1911 overthrew the Qing Dynasty and established the Republic of China. In 1930, Guizhou provincial government ordered some old place names of Guiyang to be renamed. So Nantang street was renamed Bo'ai road in the name of Catholicism. In addition, a part of damacao (including Zhushi Lane) and its adjacent Xujiaba are named after the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Xujiaba is named as the national lane, and a part of damacao and Zhushi lane are named as the rejuvenation lane.
According to the annals of Nanming District, before liberation, there were 16 mansions, one Ganji shop and one Chongzheng primary school (now Dusi Road Primary School) in Fuxing lane. After liberation, Guiyang leather factory, Guiyang color weaving factory, Nanming sanitary dressing factory and municipal renewable light bulb factory were successively established in the lane. From the 1990s to the beginning of this century, the old houses near the two exits of Dusi West Road were transformed into the new outpatient building of Guiyang first people's Hospital, and Guiyang color weaving factory and Nanming dressing factory were transformed into a 20 storey residential building called shuiyunxuan. The 171 households still living in the dilapidated tile roofed houses in the lane will bid farewell to the dilapidated Fuxing Lane in the construction of the city building square and the transformation of the shanty towns. Fuxing lane is about to take on a new look. The two 38 storey residential buildings built in situ have become a beautiful scenery along the Nanming River of the city building square.
