brief introduction
Jiulong Mountain scenic spot is located at the south end of Shuangta town in Pulandian district. It is a thousand mountain afterblood, facing Weiba mountain city, a national scenic spot. It is 30km away from Anbo hot spring resort and 20km away from Biliuhe reservoir scenic spot.
It is 75 kilometers away from the urban area of Pulandian and is famous for its rich stone products. In the 1980s, local people found a group of cliff carvings on Jiulong Mountain, which were engraved with 18 Arhats of Buddhism. Relevant experts verified that it was 1670 years ago.
The local government built stone houses to protect them from wind and rain. Liaoning provincial and Dalian municipal governments have set up monuments one after another to identify them as provincial and municipal cultural relics and protect them. Jiulong Mountain scenic area covers an area of 1000 mu, with the highest peak at 380 meters above sea level.
Although the cliff statues of Wanghai temple, a provincial protected cultural relic, have been baptized by 800 years of wind and rain, the 18 arhat meditation pictures are still vivid, with lush trees, many strange stones, superior cultural environment and unique natural landscape. Located on the south slope of Jiulongshan scenic spot, Shuangta Town, cliff stone carving is a key cultural relic protection unit in Liaoning Province. It was built in Jin Dynasty.
Because there is a Wanghai temple about 20 meters southeast of Shiya, it is named Wanghai Temple cliff statue. The cliff where the stone carving is located is about 5 meters high and 7.26 meters long. There are 18 original statues, one of which is a standing statue in the niche, which has been destroyed, and the other 17 are relief sculptures, most of which are well preserved.
The five Buddha statues recently unearthed from the back of Wanghai temple, identified by relevant departments, are fine works of Buddhism 2000 years ago. It not only reveals that Buddhist culture spread to southern Liaoning 2000 years ago, but also marks the introduction of stone carving art to Shuangta town at the same time.
