Historical evolution
In Jingzhou City, not far from the north gate where the ancients once sent their relatives and friends away, there is an ancient temple, named tienu temple, built more than 1000 years ago. Tienu temple has a history of more than 1000 years since it was built in the third year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty. There are two versions of its origin. In the Tang Dynasty, Jingzhou was a shovel, sickle and other small farm implements, and had two daughters. One year, the government asked him to make a thousand kilograms of steel in a month, but he didn't pay it after the time limit, so he was beheaded and made public. Your life is hard to do. The old fellow worked on the furnace and saw that the time had come, but the blacksmith did not make a pound of iron. In a hurry, the blacksmith's two daughters jumped into the burning furnace. All of a sudden, iron flowers burst out of the furnace, and there was just a kilo of iron and steel. When people were cleaning up the iron stove, they unexpectedly found two iron statues in the shape of girls. Second, the blacksmith was jailed for being wronged, and the second daughter was put into the furnace to melt the iron. Later, people built this temple in memory of the two martyrs. Zhu Zhi, king of the Ming and Liao dynasties, also wrote the inscription of tienv temple. Although the legend belongs to legend, I prefer to believe that it is true. This legend has also moved the emperor. It is said that the emperor ordered the construction of tienv temple. 、
According to the annals of Jiangling County, tienu temple was built in the third year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty, more than 1300 years ago. The temple is called "Iron Lady". It is said that at that time, there was an iron smelting supervisor named sun Kun in Jiangling Prefecture, who was in prison. Sun's two daughters, two daughters pain father wronged, throw no door, so sacrifice their lives to save his father, together into the smelting furnace, into two iron women. After hearing the music, the emperor felt his filial piety, explained his father and gave him a memorial temple, which was called "tienu Temple". The first tienu temple was dedicated to women who met the Confucian standards. Later, Buddha and Bodhisattva were invited into the temple, which was renamed "Temple". It has become a unique Taoist temple that not only serves iron women but also worships Buddhism, combining Confucianism and Buddhism. According to the annals of Jiangling County, it was rebuilt again in the 24th year of Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty. Now tienu temple covers an area of 800 square meters. Surrounded by red walls, the palace is in order, with shade all the year round, red and green. The temple has a quiet and peaceful scenery, full of fragrance and prosperous incense. It has become an important place to attract people at home and abroad to explore and meditate.
Tienu temple was damaged several times. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the world was not peaceful and the people were in dire straits, and the tienu Temple collapsed. It was not until the Hongwu year of Ming Dynasty that King Zhu Zhi of Liao Dynasty rebuilt Jingzhou. In the 1930s, Monroe was once again in a state of dilapidation. In 1940, it was destroyed by the artillery fire of the 13th army of the Japanese Central China mission. In the turbulent times of the last century, it was claimed that the temple would be smashed by breaking the "four old" system. Although the abbot Hongfa tried to stop him, the temple was destroyed. Iron Bodhisattva was dragged away and turned into molten iron, and a thirty-two Tibetan scriptures were searched away and turned into ashes. In 1967, the temple was converted into a primary school and then transferred to a middle school. It was not until the 1980s that it was renovated.

Tienu temple has the gate, Weituo hall, Daxiong hall and other buildings. Inside the gate stands a large stone tablet more than 2 meters high. On the front is a huge "Buddha" character, and on the back is Zhu Zhi's "iron female Temple stele". The two iron women are placed in the main hall, 90cm and 137cm high respectively. Their shapes are vague, like sitting and standing, echoing the beautiful legend, which makes people reverie. Although the scale of tienu temple is not grand, its unique context and ancient architectural relics make it unique, fragrant and popular. After visiting tienv temple, Li Jichang, a famous contemporary poet, created Jingjiang tienv, the last poem before his death.

The ancient city of Jingzhou
Around the ancient city wall of Jingzhou, there are six gates, namely the east gate, the small East Gate (also known as Gongan gate), the north gate, the small north gate, the west gate and the south gate. In addition to the small east gate, the other five gates all have a gate, which is a double gate. There is an urn between the two gates. Each double gate is equipped with a wooden opposite door, and there is a 10 cm thick gate inside the wooden gate to prevent water damage. Each gate is equipped with "double insurance". There are two gates in front and behind, and an urn is built between them, so as to catch turtles in the urn and kill the enemy. In order to ease the traffic in the city, after the founding of the people's Republic of China, three new city gates were opened, namely the new east gate, the New South Gate and the new north gate. There is no urn at the newly opened gate. The gates of the six ancient cities were originally built with towers, but now only the east gate and the north gate have towers. Therefore, the best places to visit the ancient city wall are the east gate and the north gate. The east gate is also called "Yin bin gate". The city building is "Binyang building", which was built in Ming Dynasty. Now it was rebuilt in 1988. The east gate is the gate to welcome envoys and guests. Therefore, the gate tower is spectacular, and the urn city is also the largest. The Great North gate, also known as Gongji gate, is the exit of the ancient post road leading to the Central Plains and the capital city. People are used to sending their relatives and friends on a long journey here. They are used to folding willows to give each other gifts and blessing peace. Therefore, the Great North gate is also called liumen. The tower of dabeimen is named "Chaozong tower". It is written under the ridge of the tower that the time of rebuilding the tower is as follows: in the 18th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, it was rebuilt in Wuxu, September, the 10th day of renxu, wushenji and Dingsi. The tower of dabeimen is the only ancient building on the wall of the ancient city. The building is simple and magnificent, and the location of the films "little flower", "long road" and "the bell of the Warring States period" have been shot here. There are stairs in Binyang building and Chaozong building. Visitors can climb on them and enjoy the charm of the ancient city. Jingzhou Ancient City wall, as a large-scale military defense fortification in ancient times, has many supporting military facilities on top of the wall in addition to the tall and solid wall and urn. On the wall, there are 4567 battlements, 26 batteries and 4 Tibetan soldier caves. Now the most effective and characteristic one is the hidden Tibetan soldier cave, one in the East, one in the west, one in the north and one in the south, Each building is 10.5 meters long, 6.3 meters wide and 6 meters deep. It is divided into two layers and can accommodate more than 100 people. Each layer has a small hole, each hole can hold two people, and there are perforations in the hole. The wall where the Tibetan soldier hole is located is rectangular and protruding outwards. For the enemy who is attacking the city, they can shoot hidden arrows from three sides to make them unprepared. The construction of the cave is exquisite and unique. Visitors can enjoy this unique military facility on the wall of Jingzhou Ancient City more than 100 meters to the south of gonganmen scenic spot. Jingzhou City is old and has gone through many vicissitudes. Now it has been loved by the people. The construction of the super large park around the city has added a new landscape with rich connotation to this national historical and cultural city: pedestrians on the city wall, driving on the inner ring road, horse racing on the outer ring road, boating on the moat. The ancient Jingzhou City is glowing with new youth and more charming splendor.
Temple legend
Master Hongfa, the abbot of the temple, came to tienu temple in the early days of liberation. He accompanied tienu temple for 40 years and was a witness of the rise and fall of tienu temple in the past decades. I was deeply impressed by her persistence. Master Hongfa told me several stories about tienv temple.
Iron statue hidden in the night
During the cultural revolution, the red guards wanted to smash the iron statue, but no matter how they smashed it, they didn't smash it. They are going to ask a shunter to move another day. Iron girl is like the treasure of the temple. Master Hongfa will protect it anyway. The iron statue is too heavy to move easily. Master Hongfa had an idea: dig a big pit at the foot of the statue, pull the statue down in the pit, and finally cover it with earth. The next day, when the red guards came, Hongfa said that he was dragged away by another group of red guards last night. It took more than ten years for the statue to be buried in the soil before it was excavated and worshipped in 1985.
To save money with a hoe
In the 1960s, after the tienu temple was converted into a school, it could not do anything. Master Hongfa is still infatuated and firmly believes that the temple can be restored. She tried to save money. Save up
