Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University

Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University is located in Tangbei plot in the west of Hangzhou city. Zhejiang University was founded in 1897, formerly known as "Qiushi academy". It is one of the earliest new institutions of higher learning founded by Chinese people. It is one of the first batch of key universities to enter the national "211 Project" and "985 Project".

Campus construction

Zhejiang University has invested more than 3 billion yuan to build a modern, networked, landscaped and ecological University Campus -- Zijingang Campus. Zijingang Campus is located in Tangbei plot in the west of Hangzhou City, adjacent to the famous and ancient Xixi scenic spot. It is divided into East and west parts, with a total planning of 5856 mu. The eastern district started construction in September 2001, covering an area of 3192 mu; the western district plans to use about 5500 mu of construction land, with a total planning construction area of more than 1.2 million square meters, and started construction in May 2011.

The new campus construction project has high starting point planning, high-level design, high-quality construction, complete, advanced and practical hardware facilities, and has initially achieved the construction goal of "modernization, networking, landscaping and ecology". In planning and design, Luo Zhi, a famous teacher, gives full play to his imagination and creativity, and pursues the construction style of seeking unity in change and seeking change in unity. Highlight the garden style and characteristics of the university campus, and emphasize the mutual rendering and contrast between the garden and the main building. The overall construction of Zijingang Campus always carries out the idea of "people-oriented", takes the creation of free learning space and communication atmosphere, and the improvement of students' comprehensive quality as the foothold, and all is designed and set around the goal of cultivating creative talents. The construction of the west area of Zijingang Campus is one of the highlights of the 12th Five Year Plan and construction of Zhejiang University. The planned construction land is about 5500 mu, and the planned total construction area is about 1.2 million square meters. After completion, it will accommodate 16 Colleges (departments) and about 15000 graduate students and international students. It is planned to complete most of the construction projects during the 12th Five Year Plan. Around this goal, the preliminary planning and design of the new project in the West District have been in full swing and in an orderly manner; the West District of Zijingang will strive to become an "ecological campus with modern, networked, landscaped and Chinese cultural heritage".

The dormitories in Zijingang Campus are divided into seven school Parks: Lantian, Danyang, Qingxi, Ziyun, Bifeng, Baisha and Cuibai.

From Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University

You can take the airport bus to Hangzhou International Weijing Hotel (about 40 minutes, 20 yuan), walk along Pinghai road for about 50 meters, take bus No.10 (1 yuan or 2 yuan), and get off at the terminal (about 50 minutes).

From Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University

Take the airport bus directly to Hangzhou (about 3 hours, 100 yuan). The flights from Shanghai Pudong airport to Hangzhou Huanglong Sports Center are as follows: 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30, 19:30. After arriving in Hangzhou, take a taxi to Zijingang Campus (about 20 yuan).

From Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University

Take the airport bus directly to Hangzhou (about 2 hours, 85 yuan). The flights from Shanghai Pudong airport to Hangzhou Wulin gate are as follows: 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, 15:00, 16:30, 18:00 and 19:30. Then take a taxi directly to Zijingang Campus (about 40 yuan), or take bus No. 900 (3 yuan), get off at the motor vehicle management office, go straight to Shenhua Road, turn left, and go straight ahead for about 15 minutes to Zijingang Campus.

Hangzhou City Station: you can take a taxi (about 50 yuan) directly to Zijingang Campus, or take subway line 1 (Xiasha riverside direction) to Xihu culture square. After leaving the station, walk 300 meters to the city traffic police detachment station, take bus No.74 (2 yuan) to Zijingang Campus, or take bus no.900 (3 yuan), get off at the motor vehicle management office, go straight to Shenhua Road, turn left, and walk for about 15 minutes, Zijingang Campus can be seen at the end of the road.

Hangzhou east station: take K93 bus to Zijingang Campus, or take subway line 1 (Xianghu direction) to Xihu culture square. After leaving the station, walk 300 meters to the city traffic police detachment station, and take bus No.74 (2 yuan) to Zijingang Campus.

West Bus Station: you can take a taxi (about 20 yuan) directly to Zijingang Campus, or take bus No. 70 / 179 (2 yuan) to Huangchao Garden West, and transfer to bus No. 89 (2 yuan) to Zijingang Campus.
