Ezhuang waterfall group scenic area belongs to warm temperate continental humid monsoon climate, with four distinct seasons, sufficient light, abundant rainfall and rich water resources. The annual average temperature is 12.9 ℃, the extreme maximum temperature is 40.5 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 20.2 ℃.

The frost free period is 180 days, and the annual average sunshine hours is 2564 hours. The annual average precipitation is 730 mm, the groundwater resources are rich, and the mountain spring water flows continuously for a long time.

Ezhuang mountain is densely forested, with 1203 species of higher plants and 235 species of lower plants, with a forest coverage rate of more than 69%, ranking second to none in central Shandong.

There are 7 national key plants under first and second level protection, 2 gymnosperms and 5 angiosperms. Tassel, Eclipta, Fraxinus mandshurica, pineapple and Tilia amurensis are natural rare tree species.

There are more than 10000 ancient trees, 140 kinds of forest plant resources, 12 kinds of wild edible fungi, 20 kinds of wild vegetables and 160 kinds of Chinese herbal medicine.

Scenery

In the southeast mountainous area of Zichuan District, there is a beautiful town called Ezhuang. There are lush virgin forests and many waterfalls.

The waterfalls are concentrated in a gully, with deep forests on both sides, and a clear stream winding through the middle. The waterfalls connect pools like a necklace with bright pearls.

People call it "Jiuzhaigou in the north". There are more than 50 waterfalls here. Some of them are flying down and splashing with silver. Some of them are chanting and winding. Some of them are like strands of silver.

The most famous are Xiangquan waterfall and Tuquan waterfall. Xiangquan waterfall flies down from a dam and joins the rapids from the mountain streams on both sides to form two large streams, which are then poured into a deep pool not far away.

Because the water flow here is very fast, the fall is big, the waterfall falls, arouses a thousand layers of spray, and makes a rumbling sound, so it is called "Xiangquan waterfall". Standing at the edge of the pool, listening to the roar of the river, a splash of spray on the body, there is a feeling of being in the galloping horse.

Less than a mile down here is Tuquan waterfall, which is the largest waterfall in Ezhuang waterfall group. Huge water flowed from the dam more than ten meters high to the riprap on the river bank. The waves aroused formed many waterfalls of different shapes and sizes, and finally fell into the valley.

Because of the different natural terrain, these waterfalls are connected from top to bottom, forming a cascade of small waterfalls. They are connected into one piece, big beads and small beads falling on the jade plate, which is very spectacular.

This is the place that attracts the most tourists. For the convenience of viewing, three waterfall viewing pavilions have been built in the valley below. Standing on the waterfall viewing pavilions and looking up, it's really like "watching the waterfall in front of the river from afar".

The river flows to the downstream woods. After the bumps of waterfalls, it seems to be tired. Here it flows gently and slowly. It seems to be whispering and thinking silently. Bibo Lake

Bibo lake is the largest man-made lake in the scenic area, covering an area of more than 30000 square meters. The Jade Emperor ordered that rats, cows, tigers, rabbits, dragons, snakes, horses, sheep, monkeys, chickens, dogs and pigs should be born in one year, which is called the twelve Zodiacs, and the year of birth should be determined by the zodiac. Later, the black dragon took Baiquan of Changbai Mountain and moved to his hometown, and put twelve of them here. After playing chess, he visited the sky on the 10th. The sun was scorching. Finally, Xiao was so hot that he secretly went down to Xiangquan to look for the cool. When he came to Xiangquan, he saw that the forest was dense, and there were twelve springs.
