Daluoding is a temple. It is located to the east of the Temple group in the center of Taihuai Town, on the steep ridge of the mountain. It is the place where Manjusri Bodhisattva is worshipped. Looking up from the foot of the mountain, I saw another hill rising from the middle of the towering mountain. The gate and archway of the temple on the top of the mountain are surrounded by trees, often surrounded by clouds. The shape of the hill is like a big snail. In midsummer, there are luxuriant plants and trees, showing a dark green. Therefore, the temple on the top of the hill is called a big snail top, also known as a big snail top. The ancient temple is called Fuding temple.
The temple was built in the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty. There is also a stele on daluoding made by the emperor in 1750. The five statues of Manjusri Bodhisattva on the top of the five platforms are molded together by Dai Luoding. Coming here is equivalent to going to the top of the five platforms and paying homage to the five Manjusri Bodhisattvas at one time, so it is called "little chaotai".

Daluoding is an ancient temple with a long history, famous and unique style in Wutai Mountain. Historically, they were named qingfengding, Fuding nunnery, daluoding and dailuoding.
In the seventh and ninth volumes of Qingliang mountain annals written by Shi Zhencheng in Ming Dynasty, it is recorded that "in Tang Dynasty, the Buddhist scriptures lived in Qingfeng and Anan, and the great pines were like houses, which could shelter the wind and rain. If you are not ignorant, you can see that the monk is in the shape of an old bhikkhu and says the bitter empty Dharma. When he heard the rustling sound of autumn, he was so sad that he called for the bitter empty base. The ancient steles still exist. " Qingfeng is dailuoding, an is Xiaomiao. In the Tang Dynasty, there were Buddhist monks who practiced Buddhism here, and there were small temples. According to the records of qingliangshanzhi, the history of dailuoding began in the Tang Dynasty. There is also a stone tablet in the mid autumn of the 20th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty behind the gate of dailuoding mountain The shape of the milk peak is like a spiral snail. It is round and lovely. It is called "big snail top" by the people It is said that there was a sacred tree in ancient times, and bhikkhu fanian lived here. "
There is a pine and a cypress in the north and a cypress in the south in front of Da Xiong Bao hall, the back hall of Dai Luoding. The pine and cypress are thick and straight into the blue sky. This is the "thousand year old pine under the steps" in Emperor Qianlong's poem, which is the practice place of Buddhist monks in Tang Dynasty. The ancient pine in the temple bears witness to the history of Dai Luoding.
Cultural heritage
It was in the Tang Dynasty that the temple was first built in daluoding. The specific year of the Tang Dynasty remains to be further studied. Qingliangshanzhi written by Mingshi Zhencheng is an important historical book for the study of Buddhism in Wutai Mountain. It comprehensively describes the natural geography, scenery characteristics, temple evolution, biography of monks and nuns, Holy Land products, even myths and legends, and the poems and songs of monks and nuns on Wutai Mountain, especially the records of Buddhist activities, exchanges between monks and nuns, and cultural exchanges Today, the important basis for studying Buddhism in Wutai Mountain is authoritative. "Pines talk about bitter emptiness" records the process of the Buddhist nunnery built at the top of Qingfeng in Tang Dynasty. According to the well preserved stone tablet records in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty and the "thousand year old pine" in front of Daxiong hall, it is proved that the history of dailuoding should start from the Tang Dynasty.
Dailuoding was named Qingfeng at the beginning, and the temple was named Fuding nunnery at the beginning. It was named daluoding from the 20th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1592) to the 15th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1750). It was renamed dailuoding in the 15th year of Qianlong, and it has continued to this day. There are two stone tablets standing behind the Mountain Gate in the temple: one is in the mid autumn of the 20th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, with the inscription of "the stele of rebuilding Fuding nunnery in Wutai Mountain"; the other is in the mid autumn of the 20th year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, with the inscription of "the statue of qingfengding building Pavilion", which has a more detailed description of dailuoding, The evolution of the name and the reconstruction in the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty have been reconstructed in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and the 51st year of Qianlong.

Main attractions
Dailuoding is a small mountain peak extending from the top of Wutai Mountain, with a vertical height of only 400 meters. However, looking up from the Qingshui River Valley, the ancient Dai Luoding temple, which is located at a height with the same name as the peak, is equivalent to a skyscraper with a height of more than 130 stories. It is also high-risk enough. It is not enough to climb to the top. So before climbing, it is necessary to choose one of the three ways according to your own conditions. To walk, there is a new road on the right and an old road on the left. The new road, built in 1991, has a total length of 108 meters and a clear width of 2.2 meters. It is all paved with Wutai Mountain bluestone and has 1080 steps. It is called "Dazhi road". The name of the road and the number of steps are related to Buddhist common sense.
To reach dailuoding, you must climb Dazhi road. Dazhi road is made of bluestone, with a total of 1080 steps. After climbing on Dazhi Road, you will see the archway, stone lion and mountain gate. It covers an area of nearly 27000 square meters and has more than 50 halls and houses. The central axis of the hall is the archway, Tianwang hall, zhantan hall, wufangwenshu hall and Daxiong hall. Different from other temples, the temple has a zhantan hall and a Manjusri hall. The heavenly king hall is dedicated to Mitha Bodhisattva, followed by Weituo Bodhisattva, with four heavenly kings on the left and right.
Mount Wutai is the place of Manjusri Bodhisattva. Manjusri Bodhisattva specializes in wisdom among all Bodhisattvas, so the road to worship Manjusri in the five directions is called "great wisdom road". The road is as steep and steep as a ladder in the sky. When you step on it gradually, you can have a bird's-eye view of the surrounding scenery, which is as vast as the wind. Moreover, there are many platforms in the zigzag places of the stone steps, as well as small pavilions with walls, which can enjoy the Buddhist scenery while climbing. On this road, we can often see devout Buddhists kowtow step by step.
1080 steps are "ten boundaries", each meaning "eight hundred". The ten realms, also known as six all four saints. Buddhism divides Buddhism and all living beings into 10 categories, which are collectively known as the ten realms. Each of the ten realms has its own "hundred and eight", which together is 1080, including "hundred and eight troubles" and so on. According to monks, walking on the road of great wisdom and stepping on 1080 steps can add wisdom to people, eliminate troubles, turn evil into good, and make life smooth.
The road was donated 500000 yuan by master Kaizheng, the abbot of Hongfa temple in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and supported by the Religious Bureau of Shanxi Province and the provincial Buddhist Association. This road is relatively close, but straight up and down. For the old and frail tourists, it's hard to walk. On the left side is the ancient road, with gentle slope and circular path. Although it's a little far away, it's not hard to climb. In addition, there is a shortcut, which is the aerial ropeway built in August 1995. Sitting on the cable car, you can reach the platform not far from the temple gate in a few minutes. However, there is a charge for taking the cable car.
Through the wooden archway with "Da Luo Ding", we can see that there is a white jade Pavilion in the southwest corner of the gate. It is exquisite and charming. Stand inside the pavilion. In the distance, the top of the platform can be seen. If it's winter, the surrounding mountains are all covered with red makeup, especially enchanting. If it's summer, all the mountains are green, and the water is green, and the scenery is picturesque. The scattered temples are located in the green cluster. They are mysterious and mysterious. How high the mountain is, there is water, because how high the mountain is, there are trees, and how high the mountain is, there are temples. Standing in Wangjing Pavilion, the air is pure, the fragrance is sweet, the spirit is clear, and you will never forget to return.
Tianwang Hall
Tianwang Hall of the temple is used for two purposes. It is not only the first major hall on the central axis of the temple, but also the Mountain Gate of the temple, so it is also called the Mountain Gate hall. The hall sits east to west, three rooms wide, single eaves hard peak, there are four heavenly kings in the hall. There are bells and drums on both sides of the temple.
There is a couplet at the front door of the heavenly king hall
