Up to 1936, Zhuangyuan building was moved to 16 Rixin street. It has three floors and five rooms. It is jointly operated by 28 employees. Most of its customers are from industry and commerce, finance, military and government sectors and businessmen. In 1946, Jiang Jingguo and his wife visited the restaurant twice. In the same year, he moved to No. 4, Jiangxia street, NaNTU, Xinjiang bridge. In September 1949, the shop was bombed by Kuomintang planes and collapsed. Later, a joint venture of 10 employees set up "Yongjiang Zhuangyuan building" beside Xinjiang bridge on the North Bank of the river, but the operation was poor. In 1956, the public-private joint venture was carried out, and the business turned for the better, but the scale was small. On October 1, 1959, the 10th anniversary of the national day, at noon, when the procession passed by, the diners immediately flocked to the window to watch, resulting in the collapse of the second floor of the house. In the next 20 years or so, some old Ningbo and overseas Chinese are looking forward to "when they will be the number one scholar again, and talk about the spring and autumn with the old Ba Zhan".

Change name

In October 1985, under the leadership of Ningbo municipal government and Hong Kong Yonggang Friendship Association, Ningbo catering service company and Hong Kong jointly built a joint venture in the reconstruction of Heyi intersection of Zhongshan Road, named Ningbo zhuangyuanlou Co., Ltd. A total of 1100 square meters of business space, built classical palace style gatehouse, spacious and tidy lobby, elegant and comfortable box, equipped with central air conditioning, so that the number one building rejuvenated, ushered in the overseas Chinese "re boarded the number one building, taste home cuisine" grand occasion. Bao Yugang, the "king of ships", once held a banquet here to entertain his parents in his hometown. In 1992, zhuangyuanlou Co., Ltd. was wholly owned by the city catering company (City East Asia Group Company), and merged the adjacent Mingzhou hotel. It invested heavily again in the expansion and decoration, and was renamed "zhuangyuanlou Hotel".

Located on the front door of the "No.1 yuanlou" hotel in Heyi Avenue Shopping Center, there are seven characters of "No.1 yuanlou hotel in Ningbo" inscribed by Yu Qiuyu, a famous scholar from Ningbo.

As soon as you enter the store, a strong number one culture comes to you. Yu Qiuyu created and inscribed the "number one scholar building" on one side of the lobby. He praised the time-honored "number one scholar building" and wrote at the beginning: "the taste of the world varies from place to place, and the taste of the taste must be in Wufu city. On the top of the hotel lobby, there are four characters written by the famous scholar Feng Jicai: "the number one scholar is here". After eight years of sleep, it has regained its luster. Under the old plaque, there are many kinds of recipes, tablecloths and other objects used by the old "Zhuangyuan building". According to reports, the "No. 1 yuanlou" Hotel, which will open on the 8th of next month, has a business area of more than 3000 square meters. All the boxes are made of mahogany furniture, and there are pictures of 13 No. 1 yuanlou in Ningbo history.

"Zhuangyuanlou", who is good at making "rock sugar turtle" and other authentic Yongbang dishes, has left a good memory for many "old Ningbo". In the reopened "champion building", what can customers eat? At the scene of yesterday's tasting meeting, some classic dishes such as rock sugar turtle, yellow croaker in big soup with snow vegetables, and small square roast with seaweed were served on the table. The newly opened "zhuangyuanlou" is located at the middle and high end. It has set up a raw material base in Yinzhou. The vegetables, pork, live chicken and other raw materials used by the hotel are self-produced to ensure the quality of raw materials.
